Nope, I’m dead serious. The OP was complaining about rising interest rates and “affordability”. What does Cadillac have to do with the rate hikes? Sure, Caddy is raising price for 2023 but it’s basically on par with the inflation. Again, inflation not the fault of Caddy.
Not communicating the scope of the delay and an ETA of the arrival for the car is Caddy's fault.
Having the cars sit for months after construction is Caddy's fault. If they don't have the parts, don't start the build.

It's definitely the lack of communication that drives my frustration!

I've said this 100 times, it's all a part of the goat rodeo experience.

I guess it's easier for me then most as I own a property management company and deal with shit all day long, so this was nothing for me. NO communication from my dealers, then finally got a car built to find out no one knew where the car was or when it would be shipped, great. I have to say, it's great when you finally find out approximately when the car will be delivered. And certainly, much more enjoyable when you finally get to drive the damn car.

Hang tuff brother!

I guess I'm just really growing tired of the goat rodeo experience. My enthusiasm is definitely waning!
Totally understandable! And apologies if the hang-in there's start to ring hollow after a while. Speaking of which ;)

These really are unicorn-ish cars (Caddy sedans? Really? Yes!) and once they're out of production we won't see the likes of them available new ever again. For me the brief & brilliant Chris Harris review of the 4BW sums these cars up perfectly. That enjoyment will be yours soon enough!

Oh shit, I don't like the trajectory of @ArgentWing! Phase 3 of the implosion is starting with chatter about punching out of his order. Hang in there bud!

It hasn't gotten that bad yet! 😂
I appreciate the intervention though! You guys are great!!!

I appreciate the "hang in there's"!!!
You summed up perfectly why I want one of these cars!

I went through that phase, LOL.

I agree with the advice to hang in there.

My dealer actually set pretty good expecations when I placed my order. They told me 8-10 months. I placed my order 8 months and 5 days ago.

But this would have been easier if it was wait for 7.5 months for it to be built, and then have it delivered in 3 weeks. The fact that it just sits for 4 months after being built is something I had not mentally prepared myself for.

I’m right with you. I have this to offer for help lol

GM is aware of the delays in shipping and is working with Logistics, our plants, and Carriers to get the orders shipped as quickly as possible. There are many reasons for delays, including but not limited to plant shutdowns and parts delays/shortage. At this time, this is the best information we can provide you with.

As information becomes available we are happy to share. We have no additional information at time. Please keep in touch with your dealership for the most up-to-date information, or check back later for a status update.

I know you had it at least as bad as I have. Of course I don't have a car yet! 😂
I trust you got your car by now? I know you were supposed to get it on the 8th.

No. I just have more losses on trade and interest. More disappointment and a slimmer of hope I can get this done. My EDD’s came and went. Had communication with a Cadillac executive that supposedly cars including mine were on a QC hold and were released last week and supposed to begin shipping this week. Holding my breath for updates.
If my car was going to get here and be perfect then do all the quality holds you want. But then I hear all the horror stories of paint and other issues and it’s just inexplicable why they’d take this long to ship a car from MI to IA. Just put an intern on it and at least get some real updates out. I’d go pick it up myself too. I know it’s not that simple but this should be a much better experience.

My dealer told me 6-9 months...14 months ago.
