Not getting back into the goat rodeo and production hell is what made me keep my blackwing instead of buyback etc. The extended warranty and payments helped too.

At this point I think if cadillac thinks its too much of a hassle to build these to just stop production.

Seriously, all this trouble for approx 30 cars a week. As a manufacturer, it seems crazy to keep dealing with all the issues for such a small number of cars. But since this is made alongside reg CT5s, does anyone know of basic CT5s also have this issue.

TBH that's likely a big part of the problem (in addition to general GM-ness). They are such small volumes, so running lean with a JIT supply model means when they are out they are out.
When you're building C8s (not that they haven't suffered too) you have more of everything that must help mitigate some, where there's more of nothing for the BWs... except for floor mats and rear spoilers which always look to be in stock and/or promoted by the Cadillac online store.
 
Nope.

Last talked to my sales guy on Monday the 5th, and it had not yet hit the local rail yard. I'm just being patient. The knowledge that it is actually moving has calmed me down.

And at this point the closer delivery gets to Christmas the cooler it gets.

Yup, it's there. I'm heading out shortly to go up, see it, sit in it, maybe lick it, and do the paperwork.

Barring a goatf*** of some sort, I'll pay for it tomorrow and drive it home.

@Rob - random question. I’m one of the select few who never placed an order but just got an email of a person backed out and first one to email back gets the car. I ponder what was the history of the car I got. I don’t have order number since I didn’t order car but with vin can u see when this car was made and how long it sat? Feel the journey literally never knowing it actually existed until I got it.

Your dealer can pull the history for you and print it........ I have the start to finish history on both my BW's..
 
All orders have been checked and updated accordingly
