PDR-related update: GM issued a 'production stop', according to my dealer.

I ordered a 2025 BW in June of 2024, dealer received an allocation in September; car was originally scheduled for production in February.

I just received a call from the dealership, they said GM sent them a note stating that there was a production stop issued from engineering for UQT (Performance Data Recorder). My options were to build the car without it in February or wait until the stop is lifted (at the end of February, according to GM) and to have production week moved to April. I chose to keep PDR and have the car (hopefully) produced in April.

My 5BW is also on hold, ready for delivery. But my dealer can’t tell why. Perhaps for the same PDR reason.

How was your dealer able to find out the cause? I’ll try to get mine to do the same to see how widespread this issue may be.

This is super odd - any further detail on what would cause the delay with PDR? Is it a software defect that they have to resolve? Or just parts availability? If it was a serious issue, I imagine they would issue a stop sale for all cars with PDR as well.

Very odd indeed; my sales manager advised that all that the note said was 'production stop', with no mention of parts or software; he suspects it might be software though, and I tend to think that's the case, too.

My dealer received a message from GM regarding my order; GM offered an option of building the car in February, as originally planned, or waiting till this production stop order is lifted.

Was yours built with PDR? If that's the case, and they are holding off delivery, it seems that most likely it is PDR software related.

My car has PDR and just shipped. It was built in early January.

Yep, PDR. Built second week of January.

@CDNBW ...Keep an eye on this. April is normally late in the production year (but GM being GM, who knows). Much longer and you could slip into 2026 MY causing even later delivery.

2026 non-V CT5 start of production is June 2, 2025. No word on 2026 V models,.
