Order bank open date 2025 CT5V BW?

Picked up the car today in between snowstorms. Here are some quick pics before the winter returns.
Congratulations, Mark! Your patience paid off. Beautiful car. I do regret the front plate though... that bracket is massive.

Anybody know if they're still deleting the CF seat back on the higher end seating package? If it's on constraint, can you add on the aftermarket later like the external CF pieces?

Yes, my 2025 was basically loaded but the CF seatbacks were on constraint so they ordered them with an option code to that removes the CF seatbacks but keeps the highest tier seats. In the performance subforum I noticed a vendor offering carbon seat backs for 3k yesterday - so totally doable.

Seems they're still hit or miss, they were available when my allocation was accepted

Early 2022 for me it was not possible to drive a 5BW nor had I ever seen one in person. Getting one at MSRP was no easy task either. But I single-handedly nearly brought down the entire internet watching every 5BW YouTube video. I was all in and on a mission. A deal came up in July and bought my car sight unseen, not even a photo. Those were different times and drastic measures were required. But I know myself and what cars turn me on. 2 1/2 years later zero regrets. Best car decision I’ve made in a long time and my first Caddy (M6 of course).

I'm having the opposite experience with ordering a ford truck. Under invoice for sold orders but pay a lot more for one on the lot.

Is GM allowing any type of friends and family of GM employees discounts on these cars?

Yes, they are finally!

My 5BW has been in "produced" status for the last two weeks, has been issued a VIN, but is being held at factory due to a missing component with no delivery ETA.

My dealer says they cannot determine what that component may be or when to expect the release.

Sound about right for the Goat Rodeo? Or is there a way to get more info?

You won't get much more about it, unless there are a bunch on hold for the same thing and someone discovers what it is.

My guess it’s a new for ‘25 thing.
I think from 22-24 you only got matching colour belts in the rear centre if you ordered the natural tan seats, at least in the CT5, though if someone has experienced otherwise please correct me.
My 22 BW5 has CF backs in all black, 5 red belts in my build.

Were your red belts part of the package with the premium seats?
E.g., my gold belts were part of the tan seats' package that came with my '24, while the red belts were an option on my '22, which had the base seats and so came with red seats at the four corners but a black belt in the middle of the back.
Which I never actually minded, BTW, as I thought there was still a kind of feng shui to it, as in it's not as if a random outboard seat came with a different coloured belt.

Yes, optioned for the red belts and Caddy complied x5. My BW4 IMSA has all 5 as well.

So weird. My 22 5BW has the CF seat backs and red belts but rear center belt is black. Mine is one of the initial Collectors Edition (first run on BWs) which I spec'ed and ordered in early 2021. Car was built in July 2021 and deliveres Sept 2021.

IIRC, at first the center belt was black. At some point, perhaps MY 2023, when that option was selected, it was changed to all belts are red. Tan belts are available only with tan seats and IIRC always had the center as tan. Maybe that's why red was changed.

Constraint related perhaps? Mine was build shortly after you. Delivered Dec. '21.

PDR-related update: GM issued a 'production stop', according to my dealer.

I ordered a 2025 BW in June of 2024, dealer received an allocation in September; car was originally scheduled for production in February.

I just received a call from the dealership, they said GM sent them a note stating that there was a production stop issued from engineering for UQT (Performance Data Recorder). My options were to build the car without it in February or wait until the stop is lifted (at the end of February, according to GM) and to have production week moved to April. I chose to keep PDR and have the car (hopefully) produced in April.

This is super odd - any further detail on what would cause the delay with PDR? Is it a software defect that they have to resolve? Or just parts availability? If it was a serious issue, I imagine they would issue a stop sale for all cars with PDR as well.
