Experience with orders for 2025 CT4-V Blackwing

Just got my deposit back at my local. While they were "working on", they wanted to show me a 2023 5BW. So I took it for a test drive. A ton of power, but the clutch is really heavy compared to the 4BW.

I'd be curious to hear from someone who has driven both hard how the 5BW corners vs the 4BW. I've been unconsciously assuming the 4BW was more elegance and the 5BW was more beast.

Weight differences are very noticeable between the two. Surprising the 5 holds the pavement insanely well. The 4 can be flicked around but requires more effort. The LT4 is always at the ready.

Coming from a Subaru Forester (had to sell my WRX in '20 when I moved to the city), the LF4 is going to be a wild ride for me. I'll have a smidge of V8 envy, and maybe down the road I'll buy a used 5BW to add to the collection.

My status keeps jumping around on delivery. Last week the dealer mentioned it would come in on Friday or Saturday (8 or 9th). Monday, I was told 11/12. Today, the status went to On Hold. It's at the autoport at Delta waiting to be picked up (in Michigan).

Got a dealer call on Wednesday saying there was a slight shipping delay and it'll come around December 4th. If that's the final update before this thing shows up I'd say this has only been a mildly frustrating experience, which I'll count as a win.

If it wasn't for this forum, I'd think my car was lost or damaged. Every week the ETA changes. Last week ETA was 12/2 - 12/5. Today it's 12/8-12/11. As far as I can tell, the car is still in the Lansing lot.

Right there with you. I'm out of town until the 11th starting tomorrow and I was hoping to have it before I left. Alas

I texted the dealer, “back in town” when I got home on Wednesday from a work trip and he said, “we were just talking about you, it got delayed a week”

I just sold my car on Tuesday, so timing is working out well for me.

I get bored driving my truck after a few days.

For reference: ordered my 4 BW in Aug, it was produced in Sept. Yet I’m still waiting on delivery. Maybe I’ll get it in 2025!
