Experience with orders for 2025 CT4-V Blackwing

Update #1 of my experience ordering a 2025 CT4-V Blackwing:

8/21 - Original order put in with mid-sized dealer. They did not have a current allocation, but they were optimistic based on their selling history that they would have one within a month. They treated me well with test driving/experience so I decided to order with them instead of a big dealer.

9/17 - Allocation received and order officially accepted by Cadillac, no production target week yet!

I have been trying to order a 25 4BW. I have put in "orders" at 3 different dealers over the past month and half. None of them have given me an order number at this point. I haven't gotten much information from them as well. My guess is that none of them have allocation. I know one is a high allocation dealer.

I can only give my experience here. I've gone to about ~10 different dealers between the three states I spend a lot of time in, and only one was a huge traffic high allocation dealer, which was in Phoenix, AZ.

The high allocation dealer didn't give me the time of day as they were still able to sell almost every car hitting the lot on MSRP+5K or more, from what others have said there are some high allocation dealers (like Sewell) that are happy to work with anyone.

Most of the small/medium allocation dealers I went to really didn't have much interest in helping me out once I expressed specific interest in the Blackwing, wanted to test drive if possible, didn't want to pay over MSRP, or didn't want to put money down on an order. Quickly narrowed my search to dealers who had multiple Blackwings on the lot with sale price around MSRP.

The group I ultimately put an order in was enthusiastic about the Blackwings in general and actually used this phrase, "Order a cool spec and we won't charge you a dime up front because we'll sell it either way". They were very cool about me wanting to test drive a Blackwing they had on the lot and then they immediately sent me the confirmation number for the car once it was in the order workbench.

I got the order number. Put it in the virtual assistant: "Your order has been submitted by your dealer but not officially been accepted by GM at this time."

That is status 1100 - the 1st step

LOL, I wore out the chat bot until they stopped telling me that.
And then you can ask for a real person, and embarrassingly get the same person for the third time in the same day to tell you the status hasn’t changed since the last time you asked.

Its Been A Long Time Waiting GIF

I've been wearing out the status update button to see when I'd get a production target date. This morning I woke up and there's no place to talk to the chat bot!
I doubt the status updates more than once a day.

I'm watching your thread since I'm a month behind you. Not my first vehicle I have ordered, but curious how all this will work out. Ordered a pretty similarly equipped CT4 BW.

Does anyone know if there are constraints on Carbon Fiber 1 for the 2025 4 BWs? I ask because I was just told that the front spoilers are on a nationwide back order.

So far I'm still on the same "order has been accepted by GM" code and am waiting to get the target production date. I'll keep updating my posts as we move along, hopefully this will give a decent estimation of the timelines people can expect.

Got an update this morning from my dealer: They received a target production week of 10/14.
FWIW my chatbot does not give me a different status code than the "Order has been accepted by GM"

Starting to feel pretty real. I've updated my first post with the full timeline and specs of my build.
