Probably cop or something that requires 20 years.
I doubt that. Here in Ohio, the minimum age to be a police officer is 21 years of age. Not sure what the rest of the country is, but I'd bet it's the same. View attachment 29818
Yeah, I guess that's true. New York State the minimum age is 20. Maybe military then?
Not to derail the thread, but minimum age in both Ohio and New York is 20 years of age at application and 21 years of age at appointment. In other words, you can start the academy at 20, but must turn 21 before graduation and hitting the streets.
Military........could be.
Anyways, I too was saying 38 and retired. Hummm!![]()
I am 42 now. Joined the military (good guesses!) at 18, served all around the world for just over 20 years, and got married two years before retirement. Had a baby one month before retirement, and another just a year ago.Military can join at 17/18 and be retired by 38. You aren't living on that retirement alone, but it is income from 38 on.
Nope, no sweat! It's a pleasure to talk to others about life experiences - I love to learn. Can't wait to get the Blackwing home!Sorry, hope you didn't feel that you had to explain your life and why you are who you are. Either way, congratulations on making it the full 20 years and thank you for your time in the service
Car is beautiful
Let's see if they actually pay itMy 25k incentive to retire was just approved with no reduction in annuity or benefits.
Thank you for your service.I'm a disabled Veteran
Good for you. Nothing wrong with that.I'm a full time stay at home Dad.
My dealer, Findlay in Vegas, relayed that my 5VBW (3800 on 3/24/25) would be insulated from any tariff pricing increases. Not sure how many parts come from outside the US, but at least the Tremecs are made in our neighbor to the south.I suppose we find out April 2nd.
The percentages are the somehow the same for manuals and automatics. Which I find interesting given the the manual transmissions are made in mexico, automatics in the US.The last MY25 5VBW window sticker I saw showed:
US/Canadian parts content: 37%
Major sources of foreign parts: Mexico 21% China 15%
Once I get the car home and get my own pictures, that'll be the plan!@swoop1156 ...you'll need to change your avatar
I did a nationwide search. I didn’t go with Sewell cause i was going for a dealer stock car so that I didn’t have to wait forever for my order to get picked up. God only knows what these msrps will be like next year. Sewell didn’t have anything in stock or coming soon with anything close to the specs I wanted. The closest match to my build was a DSM 6MT fully loaded like yours but with the aniline seats with CF backing, cf1/2, precision, PDR, sunroof, parking, Alcantara, black logos, red seat belts at Delaware caddy which happens to be 90 miles from my house. Just got lucky on that I guess. Only thing it doesn’t have that I wanted is the bronze rims. Graphite ones instead. Probably just get em powder coated. But I’m getting super antsy man. Car was built 2/5, intermediate shipped to railI bought their basically fully loaded DSM after the original buyer backed out on it. It has the base seats, so you likely didn't consider the car, though aside from either of the seating options, the A10, or some dealer installed accessories, this one has just about everything worth mentioning on a 5BW.
Being far from a location doesn't mean anything when there's hundreds of shipping companies that will do the transport for you. I retired at 38, and now 42, and still not bothered with going to get my own car. If you want something, you'll figure out a way.
That is odd. Wonder how that'll change... and then change back in 4 years maybe haha. The percentages are the somehow the same for manuals and automatics. Which I find interesting given the the manual transmissions are made in mexico, automatics in the US.
Mine was there at their lot.I did a nationwide search. I didn’t go with Sewell cause i was going for a dealer stock car so that I didn’t have to wait forever for my order to get picked up...
Songs exactly like mine aside from the seats and black logos. I have the bronze tech wheels.DSM 6MT fully loaded like yours but with the aniline seats with CF backing, cf1/2, precision, PDR, sunroof, parking, Alcantara, black logos, red seat belts...
Damn, I'm 382!Head 3/3 and been sitting ever since. Vin ends in 381. What number is yours? I think cars built the week of 1/27 shipped last week, so mine should be coming up in theory. Ugh.
