incorrect. Almost every Porsche model has at least a 20% markup. Not just gt cars. You guys are horribly misinformed about the performance market. Even the macan averages 21% adm. I don’t understand why the blackwing community is the only performance car community with a customer base that gets their panties in a bunch of a car isn’t msrp. That’s why only a handful of yall got exactly what u wanted and everyone else either never got the car or had to settle for an older used one. Yes im well aware 24s have discounts now. I want a 25. And I’ll be one of the first deep space metallic 5 bws with Both cf, pdr, aniline seats with cf backs etc and 6MT. There will most likely be like 10 cars specd exactly like mine in existence. Sorry, that’s worth paying 10k extra for imo. I got my unicorn and my total wait will be around 2 months or less…. And I’m not even paying a 10% adm.

Yall keep drinking that copium and keep telling yourself you got what you wanted by settling for an outdated / low optioned / used car. My fucking 2018 sti is selling for 34k with 60k miles just cause the performance market is all jacked up right now. This car is no different. You guys really need to pull ur heads out of ur asses thinking you have some sort of entitlement not to pay an adm. it’s kinda pathetic honestly.

There's literally a sticky thread on this forum where people have listed all the dealers charging MSRP. You overpaid. No amount of insults to everyone else here will change that fact.

 
Correct, still same availability among dealers. Autotrader is loaded with '25's. ADM of any kind is just a rip-off unless it's a super rare, sought after car.
Find me a fully loaded CF 1/2 car in one of the new colors, 6MT, no adm, since there’s so many 25s in stock. I’ve been shopping this car for months now. Most of them are “in transit” and only a handful have both CF + precision and aniline seats. I guarantee you that you cannot find a 25 fully loaded without an adm. show me the ad.

Sewell is probably the only one. That I agree with. But I’m very far from Texas and even their options weren’t what I was looking for. They didn’t have a fully loaded DSM either.

Dude. I’ve seen all of this. I’ve digested every forum post, YouTube video and article there is about this vehicle. Those dealers might not charge an adm, but not one of em has the car im looking for. Theres two huge V dealers that get tons of allocations of carbon cars. Delaware and Sewell. Delaware is ultra close to me and unfortunately charges an adm. I wanted this car desperately, (I have since the 2009 V) and am an impatient person. I wouldn’t be able to put a custom order in and wait a year+. Just not in my blood. So I bit the bullet and at least talked them down a bit. It’s still much much lower than people are paying for foreign cars.

I decided the $15k immediate depreciation by paying Cadillac of Delaware an ADM wasn’t reasonable in this market, and I found a couple dealers local to me that agreed.

I did have to wait a couple months for delivery.

Ya I knew it was on the steering wheel and mines a 25 manual so 86- last 3 of my vin I guess. 86 is sick cause I’m a chef lol. I was just wondering how you already knew that before you got your car. Didn’t realize that’s what the numbers represented.

You are a literal paradox. I meant to say (except for you, Todd). You must have a history with that dealer or something. Either that or you just have a very positive karmic bank and just picked the right dealer at the right time with the right specs / color. If you had picked DSM at the same time, it coulda been on constraint becuase it was for 5BWs for a long time. But ya, you’re definitely a very very very rare case. I envy you. I honestly tried to take that route. I called about 25 dealers. But none of em gave me any real faith. I just couldn’t wait. And with everything happening in the world, god only knows what will happen to vehicle prices next year and beyond.

Im sure you’ve already read up on it, but just make sure your dealer is aware of the cup plug issue. Just make sure they go over it on the pdi. It’s a service bulletin so they should. One of Delaware caddy’s customers Cars plugs blew out after they took delivery but before the bulletin. So my dealer is well aware of the issue lol. When was yours built? Congrats though. You’re a stronger man than I for having that kinda patience. Drift metallic was actually my original color choice until I saw DSM cars in actual photos and not just ai generated images. But ya man, enjoy her! Hopefully I’m right behind you.

And also, was CF1 on constraint when you ordered?

No, CF2 was.

My build was in mid Jan, delivery order was flagged with the oil pan issue for dealer to PDI (and I reminded them regardless after reading the horror stories here).

I was able to check out a couple 4BW in Drift, ironically one at Caddy Delaware, before pulling the trigger for my 5 order. I think it will allow the spendy CF packages to really pop in contrast.

DSM is cool, but I’m off dark colored cars, too much cleaning work for me these days.

Ya, saw another gentleman in a Facebook group who was built on 1/27 and his arrived this week. Mine was 2/5 so I’m hoping I’m right behind you guys. Will be cool to take advantage of the tax break after April 3rd.
 
If you are paying ADM on a Blackwing you haven't done your homework and will just have more money than brains. As my Dad used to say...." a fool and their money are soon parted". In my opinion (which is like a butt hole, everyone has one)....carbon fiber is a waste of money. I don't go around worrying about scratching up a splitter. If you believe that these cars are "investments".....I have a bridge in Brooklyn for sale. Cheap.

Most of us ordered our cars exactly how we wanted and paid MSRP 2-3 years ago during peak ADM. Plenty of us have been around here a while and know exactly how the BW market works, but the mansplaining is adorable nonetheless.
Yeah, paying ADM is a weird flex.

If you want what you want and don't mind paying more to get it sooner, go for it. But kinda funny to be clowning other people for being a little more patient to avoid immediately flushing thousands down the drain. It's not like there aren't other performance cars to play with while waiting.
 
Your dealer should give you the VIN when you hit 3800. You may also ask the Cadillac chat bot to connect you to an agent and ask them.
Chat will not give you the VIN (bot or a person makes no difference). You need to contact your dealer.

Also, I want to confirm if this is a thread about the precision package. I thought it was at some point.

Ya it is. Just went off on a weird tangent. Everyone’s gotta get their 2 cents in on me now cause they feel attacked. Typical internet bullshit. No one posts here in months but as soon as they feel called out they get real big chested. Buncha fucking babies. No one cares about what you guys did 3 years ago. It’s 2025 and things are totally different. This car is a lot more expensive now and the market for performance vehicles in general is more fucked up than it’s ever been. But ya, I should be getting my car with V8V within a few weeks. Will report back on how it is. Have driven a few without it so I’ll feel the difference. Also gonna do spring mountain at some point this year, so hopefully they’ll have precision cars there by then and will put people in one who bought one with it equipped. I think very early on In the MY, you could order just the carbon ceramics on 25s, but once precision dropped, that wasn’t an option anymore. It’s all one $18k pack now. Thanks for bringing it back to the original subject btw.

Got my car in July 2022 the way I wanted and no ADM. And yes, lots of dealers were charging ADM and I told them to call me back when they were selling at MSRP. The dealer I bought from has a no ADM policy on all cars. They are principled and realize there is no long term business advantage to screwing customers to make a quick buck.

And during this period Sewell would not sell 5BWs to out of state buyers. It’s not that I couldn’t have paid ADM. There is a reason why hard working people like myself of middle class income have money, we don’t flush it down the drain.

Speaking of CF1/CF2, the assumption that everyone wants that is erroneous. I don’t want CF2, it’s just way too much CF for my taste. Between the interior and the CF backed seats CF1 is a good balance. I did add OEM CF1 myself as I wanted that.

You can still get CCB as a standalone option.

And what is the tax on April 3 you’re referring to in your other post? Tariffs?
