Welcome to the Cadillac V-Series Forums!

Precision Package Owners - How is it?

I just took delivery of my '25 Deep Space Metallic 6MT 5BW V8V car. It has base seats, just like my first 5BW from '23. The hate on the base seats is hilarious but to each their own. I wouldn't have one of these cars without the better/base seats. The movable headrest, the plushness, and comfort for me at my height is more important than how they look to others. I sit in it, not anyone else that's paying.

The car was delivered straight to the detailer, I shall have it before race weekend in April. Then, I can compare for you all, real world difference between the Precision Package Blackwing to a non. This car isn't tracked, it's simply my third and the fun weekend vehicle after the Raptor and Cayenne Turbo S e-hybrid.

Bought from out of state, no ADM, on a trade from a Porsche Panamera Turbo S e-hybrid Sport Turismo, so if y'all want to talk Porsche, I still have the Cayenne in the garage as well.

Sewell is probably the only one. That I agree with. But I’m very far from Texas and even their options weren’t what I was looking for. They didn’t have a fully loaded DSM either.
I bought their basically fully loaded DSM after the original buyer backed out on it. It has the base seats, so you likely didn't consider the car, though aside from either of the seating options, the A10, or some dealer installed accessories, this one has just about everything worth mentioning on a 5BW.

Being far from a location doesn't mean anything when there's hundreds of shipping companies that will do the transport for you. I retired at 38, and now 42, and still not bothered with going to get my own car. If you want something, you'll figure out a way.

Yeah, paying ADM is a weird flex.

If you want what you want and don't mind paying more to get it sooner, go for it. But kinda funny to be clowning other people for being a little more patient to avoid immediately flushing thousands down the drain
Since this thread is half about Porsche, even their MSRP is nutty. Imagine this for instance.

My Panamera stickered for $230k. Someone paid a quarter of a million dollars for a car all said and done. They drove it 9,000 miles, and then I bought it for $70,000 less. Put 1,000 miles on it, figured out it wasn't for me and I wanted another Blackwing, sold it at a $5k loss, and will get a refund of some sort of the CPO+1 warranty, so I'm out a little bit. Probably around $1,500 or around there.

Someone else is out hugely on their end of the deal, and that'd be the original buyer of that car. Not to mention buying Porsche CPO is insane compared to new, given the depreciation plus the CPO is a better warranty anyway.

Same story for my wife's Cayenne - $197k sticker. We got it with 12,000 miles for a $56k discount.

That's not even talking about, say, a 911 Targa that'll jump $50k over MSRP just cuz. Or a 7-speed GTS. Don't even get me going on the GT cars. That's just wild shit.

Ya it is. Just went off on a weird tangent. Everyone’s gotta get their 2 cents in on me now cause they feel attacked. Typical internet bullshit. No one posts here in months but as soon as they feel called out they get real big chested. Buncha fucking babies. No one cares about what you guys did 3 years ago. It’s 2025 and things are totally different. This car is a lot more expensive now and the market for performance vehicles in general is more fucked up than it’s ever been. But ya, I should be getting my car with V8V within a few weeks. Will report back on how it is. Have driven a few without it so I’ll feel the difference. Also gonna do spring mountain at some point this year, so hopefully they’ll have precision cars there by then and will put people in one who bought one with it equipped. I think very early on In the MY, you could order just the carbon ceramics on 25s, but once precision dropped, that wasn’t an option anymore. It’s all one $18k pack now. Thanks for bringing it back to the original subject btw.
We gotta get our 2 cents in because you are oozing little dick energy. It’s not our fault that you are a fucking moron who paid over MSRP.

I actually canceled my 2025 order because I changed my mind and decided that I preferred the look of the 2024. Don't come in here with your dickhead attitude trying to act like you have more money than everybody else, flexing and showing off that you are not a good negotiator. It's your money to waste, but we're just letting you know that you're one of the very few that blew 10K on absolutely nothing. I'll have to see if we can find some type of trophy for that.

Inclrrect

incorrect. Almost every Porsche model has at least a 20% markup. Not just gt cars. You guys are horribly misinformed about the performance market. Even the macan averages 21% adm. I don’t understand why the blackwing community is the only performance car community with a customer base that gets their panties in a bunch if their dream car isn’t msrp. That’s why only a handful of yall got exactly what u wanted and everyone else either never got the car or had to settle for an older used one. Yes im well aware 24s have discounts now. I want a 25. And I’ll be one of the first deep space metallic 5 bws with Both cf, pdr, aniline seats with cf backs, precision pack, and 6MT. There will most likely be like 10 cars specd exactly like mine in existence. Sorry, that’s worth paying 10k extra for imo. I got my unicorn and my total wait will be around 2 months or less…. And I’m not even paying a 10% adm.

for dudes masquerading as rich people, yall sure do get tight over 5-10 grand. Yall keep drinking that copium and keep telling yourself you got what you wanted by settling for an outdated / low optioned / used car. My fucking 2018 sti is selling for 34k with 60k miles just cause the performance market is all jacked up right now. This car is no different. You guys really need to pull ur heads out of ur asses thinking you have some sort of entitlement not to pay an adm. it’s kinda pathetic honestly.

That was a lot of typing to say you don't know the market. Nobody's is paying an ADM for Macan. If you are, I don't even know what to say to that. Having 10 of a specific spec Blackwing is a meme, that doesn't mean its worth anything.

Have you never heard of the joke of people trying to sell Corvette's that are build on a specific day of the week with very specific options that don't matter at all and they think its worth top dollar?

If you are willing to pay an ADM for the exact car you want without waiting an additional 6 months, cool. You obviously operate in a different income bracket and thats fine. Time is money afterall, but to say the average Porsche is selling at a 21% is insanity.

I've probably gone through more performance cars then 99% of owners in the last 5 years. I know the market and a Macan is not a performance car.

Nobody pays an ADM on a non GT Porsche, if you do, I laugh and you should find a better dealer. If not, give them your money and have fun justifying your purchase.

I'm also sorry to everyone for causing this thread to get derailed. Hopefully we can get back on track and just ignore the last two pages.

Don't worry bubs! Ol' Trumpy slapped another ADM on those Macans...lol Macan.....

Rennlist is full of threads about the Orange ADM. When does it kick in? When the boat lands or when the boat leaves shore? Who collects it? Will Porsche absorb it? What about parts?? Need a new PDK, cough up another 25 percent on the 30k bill. Is the ADM on the sticker price or the 25 percent is applied to the sticker + ADM? Plus lots of dick swinging as in “25 percent more is not a concern to me at all”….but given the markets meltdown and it’s going to meltdown even more for a bit, that’s gonna hit some people hard! Unless you are shorting the market of course. Thanks god for the G fund.

I bet the tariff applies to the wholesale cost of the vehicle, not the retail selling price.

And I bet Porsche Germany finds a way to legally tariff engineer so that the wholesale cost is even lower than it is now.

Might be as low as 10% of the total retail price of a vehicle, which probably won’t dissuade most buyers, especially if the US arm absorbs a little of that.

I think I just saw a recent article about Ferrari claiming the same, 10% max.

Edit: yep, here it is.

I suppose we find out April 2nd.
My dealer says BWs already produced are in the clear, but he’s unsure about some Optiqs built in Mexico. Shit is whacky right now. I just wanna get my car and get out before everything starts hitting the fan.

The 25% doesn't include the reciprocal side of the equation either! lol...Have fun with your already overpriced German crap!

Just curious - anyone have a Precision Package they would like to tell us about? PLEASE!

Like 20 different people on YouTube, who do it for a living, have tried it and shared their thoughts.

The most interesting part about this thread is the "retired at 38" comment. Do share more!

Probably cop or something that requires 20 years.
I doubt that. Here in Ohio, the minimum age to be a police officer is 21 years of age. Not sure what the rest of the country is, but I'd bet it's the same.

Yeah, I guess that's true. New York State the minimum age is 20. Maybe military then?

Not to derail the thread, but minimum age in both Ohio and New York is 20 years of age at application and 21 years of age at appointment. In other words, you can start the academy at 20, but must turn 21 before graduation and hitting the streets.

Military........could be.

Anyways, I too was saying 38 and retired. Hummm!
