she's probably almost perfect for a daily......
I had the same issue with my first oil change on my '25. Couldn't believe how tight it was on from the factory!I did my 500 mile oil change, oil came out pretty dark so I’m pretty glad I went ahead and did it.
One tip for anyone out there doing their own first oil change, the oil filter setup is pretty wonky, right next to the exhaust and with a tough access point.
You’ll want some sort of oil filter tool, I had to torque the shit out of mine with a wrench, easily the hardest I’ve ever had to torque an oil filter, to the point where the structure of the oil filter almost completely gave way.
Got her done though.
They are great a daily commuter....I average about 400 miles a week with mine!
I was shocked. I used to work at a garage back in school and I'd never run into anything like it. I don't think they oiled the o-ring and when it was sitting out on the factory lot it must have bonded. I was one or two failures away from hammering a screwdriver through it.I had the same issue with my first oil change on my '25. Couldn't believe how tight it was on from the factory!
Any reason you didn't let the dealer do the first change? If it's included I let them do the first one, since the filter is always tight.I did my 500 mile oil change, oil came out pretty dark so I’m pretty glad I went ahead and did it.

No, not really. I just felt like getting under the car and seeing what was what.Any reason you didn't let the dealer do the first change? If it's included I let them do the first one, since the filter is always tight.
Weird, I just removed mine by hand. I did the first change (and all the changes) My engine was built by a woman so maybe she had a gentler touch. Maybe your engine was built by a body builder.I did my 500 mile oil change, oil came out pretty dark so I’m pretty glad I went ahead and did it.

Have you tested it yet? With the Blendmount and R4, I'm having GPS sync issues. I just ordered an additional link to get it closer to the windshield.Blend mount and wire tap
Going to take out the center link to get it even closer to the mirror

The answer to that is self evident if you knew my dealer. The lower the complexity of the job the less competent the worker. Nobody touches my car if I can do the job myself. I’m the only one that cares more than anyone else about the quality of work and doing it properly.Any reason you didn't let the dealer do the first change? Absolutely. The only time my car goes to the dealer is for warranty or recall work. The answer to that is self evident if you knew my dealer. Totally, lame brother I already had mine plugged. Nothing new where I live total trash roads with crap everywhere!Drove the Blackwing last night, instruments said 33 psi on right rear.
Checked it this AM, was 29 psi. Lifted the rear with the floor jack and right at the 12'oclock position was a naid imbedded flush with the second tread rib. Fortunately not the side wall.
So, off to Discount Tire comorrow. Drove it a couple miles and at least for that distance, it held pressure. Can take a can of sealant with me if the leak gets worse. Don
