Almost 30 days in service for electrical issue with no resolution - what's my recourse?

Updated the original post but as of today, I'm waiting on GM to approve a replacement or buyback. Should know more on Thursday or Friday of this week. I did not seek litigation through the attorney. Instead, I opened a case with Cadillac support and through the BBB's Auto Line dispute resolution program.
OP, were you able to get approval for a replacement or buyback from GM? Asking because I'm in a similar situation

Your approach in calling a lawyer is correct.
I had a new Chevrolet about 35 years ago that was back to the dealer 18 times
with a very obvious engine stalling at highway speeds issues.
GM will not through in the towel. They will try to wear you down.

To start the process of what exactly?

Hey everyone, apologies for not updating this thread for a while - life got in the way.

After 47 days in the shop, countless parts replaced and two visits from GM field engineers, I'm happy to say that they finally were able to fix the issue.

Per the writeup I have, the root cause was poor terminal pin tension on the EBCM harness CAN 2 terminals 10/11 and 24/25. They replaced these terminals and it's been running fine ever since.

I never ended up retaining the lawyer. GM did not initially approve a buyback, and I never pressed the issue since they were able to fix my car. Cadillac/GM customer service proactively offered me 50k GM rewards points (equivalent to $500) and to reimburse me for my April payment.

I'm happy for you, and that your back on the road. Also glad to hear Caddy Customer service would have taken care of you if they didn't find a fix.

Glad to hear your BW got fixed.
Does your service paperwork show what the problem part was?
