Order bank open date 2025 CT5V BW?

My 25 4BW came with spring spacers.

The dealer took them off and kept them.
Not good. Important to keep them in the car in case you ever need to be towed or put on a flat bed. You don't want that to happen, of course, but you keep a spare tire even though you hope not to get a flat... oh yeah, never mind.

That is a beauty. Is tha Deep Space Metallic?
Yes - took a chance on it and glad I did. It's a fantastic color. The black accents make it look even better - saved myself quite a bit in carbon fiber. :)

PDR-related update: GM issued a 'production stop', according to my dealer.

I ordered a 2025 BW in June of 2024, dealer received an allocation in September; car was originally scheduled for production in February.

I just received a call from the dealership, they said GM sent them a note stating that there was a production stop issued from engineering for UQT (Performance Data Recorder). My options were to build the car without it in February or wait until the stop is lifted (at the end of February, according to GM) and to have production week moved to April. I chose to keep PDR and have the car (hopefully) produced in April.
Hi I have been waiting for an allocation for about a year but still at 1100 with a medium sized Ontario dealer. Yours is the first Canadian dealer I am aware of that got allocation for 2025. Is your dealer larger than the rest or do you have a connection to get your allocation? Thanks

Has your dealer received any Blackwings before? Blackwing allocations are very limited in Canada. If you pick the wrong dealer you might never get one. I would recommend getting on a list at a higher volume dealer. I purchased my '23 from Finch Chev in London, they averaged a Blackwing allocation every 7 months.

Brian Cullen in St. Catherines will also get a similar amount of Blackwings.

You need to ask your dealer if they have ever sold a 5V Blackwing and how many. If they tell you zero, go to another dealer. If they tell you one a year, hold on, they will probably get an allocation in the spring.

I placed my order at Finch and have been at 1100 for 6 months. Morgan says he doesn't know how or when they get allocation for BW also the wait after production has been outrageous. I am on list at Applewood #2 and Barry Cullen I don't know my standing there. Roy Foss wo t take my deposit as it's a waste of time the list is long
BTW I traded the Eray for z06.

Hi, mine is actually a smaller dealer in Eastern Ontario, they've sold 1-2 Blackwings per year and were confident they would receive an allocation for a 2025. They got one in September and pushed my order through.

I wouldn't worry about 6 months. You are correct they don't know how they get allocations but I got my '23 through Morgan and I was the 3rd Blackwing. At the time that averaged out to an allocation every 7 months for them.

If you are first in line with Morgan for a 2025 you will get one, unfortunately you will just have to wait but I expect you will get a call in the next 4 months. My '23 was built in less then a month from allocation but it took 4 months to ship.

Gan Chev?

Nice, if I was getting another one I'd order from them. I'm from Kingston but they sell quite a lot of Cadillac's for such a small dealer.

I almost pulled the trigger on ordering a '25 through them but decided not to.

What was your spec?

That's awesome, small world! Do you still have a BW?

My build is 6MT coastal blue, bronze wheels, CF1/2, CF seatbacks, Precision Pack, PDR, slick top

Hey, I'm not far from there. In Ogdensburg NY. Gananoque is about an hour from me.

Very cool - right across the river from Prescott, right?
Yes! There are noooo cool cars or car people around. Would be cool to meet up with some other Blackwing guys!

I bought both my Blackwings from Disbrowe in St. Thomas.
Small dealership, small town, but no waiting list for the first one and I was high enough the second time around that I even passed on an allocation for a 23 before pulling the trigger on my current 24.
Phone them and other dealers, big and small, and get yourself in line at any that have received one before, or other “specialty “ GMs like Corvettes or Escalade Vs, and who have a short (or no) waiting list.
I ended up turning down two Blackwings from City in Toronto using this strategy as my allocations there came up soon after each of the St. Thomas ones came through.
Paid MSRP for both my BWs and I wouldn’t be surprised if you could do better now.
Final bit of advice is not to worry about getting your deposit back if you put one in at more than one dealership.
I’m not sure if it’s an Ontario rule or law, but unless the dealership has a shady reputation, rest assured you’ll get it back if they don’t sell you a car.
Here’s a couple of shots of my two BWs on trade-in day (actually even made a small profit on the first, btw):

Ugh… The bronze wheels look so good with radiant red. May need to bite the bullet and buy.

Would be awesome to meet up in the summer (provided I actually complete the goat rodeo by then :)

The red one looks gorgeous!

Seems that finding a small town dealer who gets an allocation is the way to go with these. I was also on the waiting list at a dealer in Brampton and there's been no progress in almost two years now, whereas the dealer in town here placed an order for me as soon as they had an allocation.

Black CT5s look good, too, but if you’re fussy (and I am), a black car only looks clean for about the first 5 minutes or so after you finished washing it.
And in winter… fuhgeddaboudit!

I don't, I went to a C8Z and back to a C7Z,
I prefer a manual sports car.

Your build would've been the same as mine except I was going to go Typhoon.
