V-Series Cadillac(s)?
Soon to Be CT5 V Blackwing
I ordered a Blackwing over a month ago back in January with the precision package only because I wanted the firmer handling and super nice brakes. Not planning to track it don't call me crazy I just wanted the better "feel". Anyhow I contacted my salesman for an update 6 weeks into the process and he replied that GM has accepted the order but the precision package is seeing delays. Anyone especially those in the industry know of how long it could take to get it accordingly?

If your car is at 2000, that’s a very good sign. It’s just a matter of GM deciding when to schedule production for that specification.

If you optioned Sport Cup 2s, my guess is that they will wait until temps are much warmer due to the compound in those tires much more sensitive to the Michigan cold than the PS4’s.

It's my understanding that your order will not be accepted unless everything is available.

That’s a level of caring I never expected from GM.
I don’t think it is so much about caring as it is a cost decision. Having to replace cracked tires from sitting in the lot at the Lansing Grand River plant during the winter months waiting for transport got to be too expensive. I believe it was around 2019 Chevy stopped producing ZL1s during December, January, and February to avoid cracked tires.

If your at 2000 your car will be built. No worries.

Cup 2s in winter aren't an issue. It was during the C7 Corvette generation that GM wouldn't ship any Corvette's during winter because the tire compounds could crack in the freezing temps. The current tires don't have that issue.

A lot of people have had to wait 3-6 months for their vehicles the last year (even longer 2-3 years ago). You ordered in just over a month ago. At best you will see your car in May-June, I wouldn't worry about that being delayed.

My car was ordered with the regular tires just for safety but I wanted the better suspension/brakes.

I was told my order is at 3000. Is that bad?

Ordered with the regular street tires and my order is 3000 not 2000. What does that mean? Said they accepted the order but its not yet built

GM accepted it. It is waiting for a production slot (TPW). "3000, Order accepted by production control (This is the response from production to your 2500 status and is when Parts are actually ordered. No further changes can be made to your order once you reach this point.)"

3300 will be your next milestone when they give you your TPW (Target Production Week).

Yay. So 3000 is actually better and more far along than 2000. OK so even if I have to wait a while this means I *WILL* get a BW. Thanks
