Dealers That Are Not Charging Above MSRP

I haven't really talked about price yet. They mentioned I can $1000 if I finance through GM. I then asked about the Costco discount. I'm trying to find a realistic price, but there are limited details. Also, this isn't a car on the lots. It's ordered, but should be delivered in a few days.

For anyone looking at 2024 leftovers, you just gotta bang on the dealers. I managed 8k off a manual, another member got almost the same as I understand it. Find the car you want on the Caddy website and hunt it down. Don't be afraid to ship, my car traveled almost 1700 miles in less than 48 hours and arrived perfect.

Hilariously I think it's actually easier to find deals on the '24 5BW vs. the '24 4BW right now. There just aren't many manual 4's on the market that aren't the grossly overpriced special versions or the $90K optioned cars (if my budget were that high I'd just spend a bit extra to get the 5BW)

Just looked it up, there are roughly 90 manual '24 5BW's and 38 manual 4BW's, only one of which is under 82K MSRP

82+ is definitely not the sweetspot for a CT4-V Blackwing. Many of the remaining 5s are also highly optioned. For buyers only looking for the incredible Blackwing performance, the options are unnecessary. For buyers keeping the car for the long term, awesome to get all the goodies you want.

When I bought my 22' 5BW , the salesman asked me if I had a Costco membership for at least 6 months prior and I would get a discount.
Unfortunately, I am only a BJ's customer.

This is ultimately why I chose to order. I could probably negotiate a price down to the mid $70's, but that's nearly $9K over the price I'm getting for the '25 that I ordered with the things I actually care about.

looks like my car is still for sale: 2025 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing Base - Coventry Motorcar

I think getting discounts depends on the dealer and area you're in. Right now in Q4 of 2024 is an EXCELLENT time to get a deal on a new car. The auto industry is hurting and it is a buyers market. I can tell you if you're in the Seattle area, Brotherton Cadillac is a great dealer to work with and would highly recommend them. Its who I ordered my 2025 from.

From what I know of buying cars:
- you're more likely to get a deal on a car on the lot, especially a 2024 when 2025s are being built/delivered
- something like a Blackwing you're less likely to get anything under MSRP
- Being part of a local car club that a local dealer supports greatly helps your chances of getting a better deal.
- Knowledge about the car buying process is key. Negotiate for OTD (Out the door) price, later Negotiate for a trade in if you have one and be prepared on the loan and negotiating that deal too. You might get a great price on the OTD but then if you start dealing on a monthly payment you may find yourself in not so hot of a deal. Be preapproved for a loan and see what the dealer can do to match/beat that loan you find on your own.
- A base model typically has tighter margins while a loaded car has more room for discounts.

All of this is true and excellent advice. I'll add here that end of the month, end of the quarter and if possible, end of the year are the times when you are most likely to snag a discount. Especially on domestic cars, the manufacturers have incentives based on number of units moved. If you are lucky, you could do quite well.

And remember, dealers make money on financing and especially on extended warranties and crap like that. The key word being "crap".

I financed through GM on mine today. Got 6.9 percent for 60 months. Plus I got the rebate so 2k under MSRP on a 2025 on the lot 4 BW manual. I did not buy any add-ons to the dismay of the financial sales woman. Had to tell her three times, no extras.

Oh holy shit, I test drove your car a couple of weeks ago. I babied the shit out of her, so no worries there. Beautiful car
