CT5-V CT5-BW without goat rodeo?

I have no idea why nearly every US dealer options their cars like the sunroof is a mandatory feature.

They usually order autos, too.
Then the car sits on their lot while they reduce the price every two months and they wonder why no one is buying it.
Most GM dealerships probably sell something like a hundred pickup trucks and SUVs of various sizes for every Blackwing they sell, so their sales managers, who generally are not car enthusiasts, don’t know what buyers of such a niche vehicle want.
So they go with what they know.

I am also on my 2nd Blackwing (well 3rd, if I include the 4 I had waiting for the first 5). The first 5 did not have a sunroof, and I typically pass on them. The second car came loaded, every feature except ceramic brakes (ahem, a fellow esteemed member got that one!). Having now had both, I love the roof. The interior is obviously so much brighter when you open the shade, even if you leave the front glass closed. My kids like the panel in the back. I think it looks much more unique than weird. I am only 5'-7", loss of headroom is not a concern, and if I ever get it on a track, the weight will not affect my time.

BMW, nobody wants the roof when they give you carbon fiber as standard. It is way cooler.

OP, yes, CT5-V Blackwings can be found on lots. Very different than the 22-24s, especially when they started to land on dealer lots. At the end of MY24, inventory increased as some buyers awaited the refresh.

Yep, that's mostly it. The dealer where I picked up the vehicle told me that they are selling Escalades like hot cakes but they do not get many Blackwings. Plus they sell Escalades with "packages" so more profitable for them.

It’s nice to dream. But you know, even after you get a car there is no guarantee the rodeo ends.
