Attempted Theft in Austin

I installed a Soler Performance Bluetooth Throttle Controller on my C8. The bonus for this controller is I can deactivate the throttle pedal from responding to inputs as a theft deterrant. In other words, when deactivated, press down the accelerator all you want with the vehicle started & it won't respond. It's controlled by the local keypad that can be disconnected & hidden away or thru the app on my phone. The controller is keyed to my phone only so not just anyone can connect to the controller via BT & use it. Have an inquiry in with Soler to see if they make one for the 4/5BW.

Dallas traffic is a nightmare anytime of the day. No freakin way Id would drive a 6M in that shit, don't have the leg for it anymore! Once you get thru the soup, everyone's doing 90mph!

Edit: Hope it all gets sorted with the dealer for the op! For the scumbags, why not work and earn the cash honestly to buy one?

I like the idea of the Valet mode. Might keep other people from driving the car aggresively.

Sorry to hear but, props to Covert.

Gosh, definitely hate to hear of your bad luck. I was supposed to to go to Austin this weekend, but got in too late from work. Fortunately, they weren’t successful, but the downtime waiting for repairs is no picnic. I personally feel that thieves should reap the benefit of a body bag for their efforts. My nephew was in an upscale New Orleans hotel parking garage and had his new X5 broken into.There truly is no safe place. To prevent drive offs, I use an old-fashioned Club LX, but I dread this time waiting on repairs. I sincerely hope that I’m not put to the test, but I will be hard pressed to not to listen to Hank Williams Jr. and put a couple of .45s between their eyes.
