Order picked up Dec 11, 2024.So I’m probably looking at 8-10 weeks realistically before the car hits the dealer lot?
My bet is that the transport delays over recent months are due to the transport company going belly up.

These cars are getting enclosed trailers from a separate company. My bet is that the transport delays over recent months are due to the transport company going belly up.

The more things change, the more they stay the same............this is why it's been called the goat rodeo.Whats happening with these cars is simply insanity
I would love to see their engineering explanation for why a seal plug needs any break in period at all.I'm preparing a full write up to post in its own thread - but speaking of Goat Rodeos - my 2025 CT5 Blackwing with 607 miles on it ejected a metal plug in the oil pan the first time I crossed 5k rpm and emptied the engine of all its oil at 70+ mph. The car has been sitting at the local dealer awaiting a new oil pan since Feb 6th 2025 with an estimated part ETA of late March/early April. Initially, the dealer presented me with a verbal warranty denial and proposed bill for $7k because in their word "you did not follow the proper break in procedure to 1500 miles by keeping it under 4k rpm until the break-in period is completed". After I strongly pushed back at this rationale the senior service tech compared my failed oil pan against another LT4 and documented the 'oil cup' plug in the front of the pan did not appear to be completely pushed into the oil pan and caused the failure. May or may not be why deliveries have slowed lately.
My Cadillac provided 2024 Honda Accord courtesy car has been solid for at least 600 miles though - although its a bit slower. Opening a Cadillac corp escalation case today as I'm very disappointed with how this is being handled at all levels of the company.
For the million + problems we have in this world, included for me is giving these careless, lazy auto workers raises. These people can't snap together pieces of plastic. I don't care about inflation and cost of living. Raises should be merit based. But these people got them, and yet quality gets worse and worse. Shawn Fain cries about the billionaires, I will wager most of them did not get to where they are being complacent at their jobs. Before one of you replies defending how great auto workers are, yes, maybe there are some good ones. But the delivery quality of an average American vehicle sucks. The person who installed your plug should be fired. There's so many likely scenarios where this could have caused significant damage and loss of life if it happened on a busy Interstate in anything but a perfectly flat and straight section of the road. For the million + problems we have in this world, included for me is giving these careless, lazy auto workers raises. How did they know you were over 5k RPMs? I thought GM didn't track RPMS like some other makes.I'm preparing a full write up to post in its own thread - but speaking of Goat Rodeos - my 2025 CT5 Blackwing with 607 miles on it ejected a metal plug in the oil pan the first time I crossed 5k rpm and emptied the engine of all its oil at 70+ mph. It was actually on a 2 lane curvy back road at night and I was lucky nobody was immediately behind me. The rear tires were completely coated in oil when I was able to find a driveway to coast into. Fwiw, if you ever have to turn the motor off while driving you have to hold the stop/start button for a few seconds to confirm you want to shut the motor off while moving. For all the bad luck from this incident - I was also very lucky it didn't go much worse. I was supposed to be going on a car rally the prior weekend where I would have been in close proximity to other high performance vehicles - luckily I didn't end up going for other reasons and then this happened Monday evening. There's so many likely scenarios where this could have caused significant damage and loss of life if it happened on a busy Interstate in anything but a perfectly flat and straight section of the road.
It's pretty well known the data logging on modern cars is extensive and I had no reason to tell anything but the 100% truth since at the time it definitely appeared to be a failure in the oiling system (I initially guessed an oil line burst while investigating during my 2 hour wait for the flatbed to arrive). The drain plug and oil filter were dry but the front of the engine bay had pooled oil within the front plastic under body tray. The dealership found the metal plug sitting on top of the lower plastic tray when they removed it to start investigating it at the dealership (from what I was told by the Service Advisor). How did they know you were over 5k RPMs?
