Welcome to the Cadillac V-Series Forums!

What did you do to your Blackwing today?

Not a good day. I've been able to avoid this on 2 other cars, but I finally manage to curb my splitter. :-(

If you don't wanna go through the hassle/$ of getting it fixed, my paint guy showed me this trick. Strategically placed black tape on both sides of the splitter. If it happens again (probably will), just replace the tape. You can barely tell it's there and looks a lot better than the damaged area.

There is also a CF looking film material that was shown to us at the detailer who did my PPF and ceramic that you might be able to use. I don't recall the manufacturer but they said it's expensive high end stuff that's not available to the general public. I can get the name if you're interested, but you'll likely have to find a detailer that has it and is willing to sell a piece or install it for you. I kept a small snip they had and here's a photo against my spoiler. We all thought it would be great for anyone wanting a CF roof look. I think it was Stek

I had this taken out of my tire. I was like damn how did that even end up at an angle to sink straight through the tread to the top of the screw, which it had done.

Sucks! I thought that crap only happens to me? Only God knows how that 2" screw got popped up vertical as the tire came around?

You need to put that back where you found it. Its installed by the tire company for the best traction. Its used to literally screw your car to the pavement.

I looked at mine? It's Black and it's dirty and hasn't been driven in a few days? I remember the cold start and dream of putting some exhaust work on her.

Left her parked under a shady tree and took my 67' deVille to the Fathers Day Car show. Tomorrow I will take the BW for a ride to my IRS Office appointment, where they took my federal payment back in April and say that the money is still owed. Don't you just love how efficient or government operates.

I haven't driven mine in over a week. I'm waiting for the cicadas to go away first. Driving home from work last week in my dd I got at least 6 big hits on my windshield from them. I'd rather not have to clean off cicada guts from my bw. I'll just do that with my lexus...

We haven't had cicadas here on Long Island in mass numbers for a while. Its annoying when you are trying to sleep and they are making noise like a symphony of chain saws. I feel for you !

Back in the early 1990s on our honeymoon the wife and I were driving a rental VW bug in the Yucatan Southwest of Tulum (quite off the beaten path) when we entered this dark cloud in the middle of the day....Monarch butterfly's....so thick I had to put my windshield wipers on to clean them off to see and bits and pieces were coming through the air vents. Probably lasted 10-15 minutes (and was pretty gross).

Not too long after we passed a line of about 50 armed guys on bicycles (there was some kind of local rebellion going on at the time). The wife and I waved and thumbed up at them as we passed....and many waved back. Luckily we were tanned enough to pass as locals I guess...

I hadn't driven my car in almost two weeks. I had a chiro appointment last thursday so I decided to take Ruby out since the weather was so nice.
When I finally got home I parked her back in the garage and had this feeling of guilt for waiting so long before driving her again.
I really need to drive this car more, but at the same time don't want to put too many miles on it but I love driving it so much. lol.

Got my Father's Day gift by FedEx today. Ordered it back on June 2nd from Modello Turbo. Apparently , these are made in Turkey, hence a while for delivery. I will be hanging it up in my detail bay , on the side of the house. I don't know if it will rust, so I will spray a coat of clear Krylon on it , just for shits and giggles. They make many different vehicles.
***All done spraying clear coat and hanging it in my bay.

Same. My Jeep windshield isn't happy. A short stretch along 355 from North ave to Roosevelt is a hot spot of cicada's worth avoiding.

If you get up north avoid the Edens Expressway around Glencoe and Winnetka. It felt like they came out of the woods just to hit my windshield.

Went in for an oil change/maintenance

The dealers are all messed up with this CDK ransom situation. Unable to pull customer data, access records, etc. It even looks like the provider CDK may pay the hackers to make it stop. I got a nice, handwritten receipt to file in my 3-ring un-hackable service binder.
