Welcome to the Cadillac V-Series Forums!

What did you do to your Blackwing today?

Getting my parking sensors retrofitted at dealer.

First time I've been at the dealer since I bought, I do my own oil changes.

Clientele in the waiting room has an average age of about 75.

I'm surprised no one is hosting a game of bingo in here.
I was at the dealership for the first time a few months ago and there was at least a 40 year gap between me and everyone else in the waiting area :p

I've stopped trying to explain myself when asked why I'd spend a 100k on a Cadillac "sports car" by friend/family...

From my experience with the past few cars I have purchased out-of-state, it can take 6 to 8 weeks before the other state gets all of their paperwork straightened out and then mailed to you. This is why they give you temporary registration tags for when you get the car. I got my blackwing from Arizona and it just arrived last week, and the temporary tag is good until the end of July. They told me it takes a while and they aren't lying. It sucks though, because I have to drive around with no ability to put a front plate on and I cannot get a registration or state inspection done until I have the title. I feel like it makes me a bit more of a target to the local police.
I had a similar lead time @treborny

Any recent NYS buyers from out of state dealers get their plates yet? Checked my DMV and nothing showing up as of yet. First time for me buying from out of state dealer, not sure what to expect on lead time to get reggy and plates, going on 4 weeks.
We are in SW OH and it's close to 45 days post-purchase from a local dealer and we JUST got the car note info from Cadillac. We still haven't got word from the DMV to come get our plates.

I got my front splitter PPF replaced. After a few too many scrapes on the underside going over dips, and one horrifying bollard-kissing incident (my regular reminder that the f*cking 4BW parking sensors suck, and this car should have 360 cameras).

Props to Fernando @ Rally Graphic Wraps, and an endorsement for you Peninsula people.
And I promise to do better.

(also, waiting for my job to wrap up I got to see some of the cool stuff they have stored there including this beautiful 1960

That would not fit in my garage.

Tried launch control today for a 0-60 time trial. Tried around 4 times and the best I could do was 4.3

I was in race 2 with custom lc @ 3200 rpm and 12.5%. I'm not quite sure how it's supposed to work, it was revving past 3200 when I launched. Is there supposed to be a 2 step built in?

Is this for 5BW or 4BW. At the school I was launching around 2600. Maybe you are getting to much wheel spin.

Installed my plates... arrived soon after my post. I know it sounds strange, but the purchase feels complete now...

Bled my intercooler cuz I freaked out about MAT temps going over 160*. And started my tuning journey, got my first HPT remote tune loaded and waiting for the next change after sending a second set of logs.

Just kinda freaked out cuz I got a service anti-theft message on the dash 15 mins after loading the tune and taking some logs. 🥶

That brings to mind the one chintzy aspect of the CT4. Sheet metal screws into the plastic rear bumper for the plate. I had to grit my teeth and hog out some big holes with a drill to install those square plastic nuts to get a little stand-off spacing and to give a solid place for the screws to grip. I mean, a $70k car with sheet metal screws into the bumper!!?

Could be worst, they could have been self taping screws. :chuckle

That bronco in the background, we had exactly that bronco in that color/graphics when I was a kid!

Might consider this for splitter. I have this installed but thankfully haven’t had action with it and hope to not.

Thank you! I've seen those here, and thought about 'em, and then forget until the next time I bottom out the splitter.

The car may cost 70K but it definitely doesn't feel like one

Great weather, listened to tunes, and drove 3 hours to grab some tires from a forum member then 3 hours back home.
Even had couple miles of nice twisty country road to have little fun on at the end/beginning of journeys.

Got 3 acknowledgements on the trip. Fast and furious driver, motorcyclist, and a young guy driving a beat up chevy malibu that I think almost wrecked while gawking. :)
