Changed the oil today. Pretty easy DIY. Also washed it for the first time in the 1100 miles. Was going to install CF1 splitter but chickened out after I saw all the scrapes at the front of the car.

Had her tinted today - XPEL Prime Plus 30% on 5 windows. Many thanks to @flipray and @Wilkinda65 for the Auto Paint Guard recommendation! They are pro-style, fantastic and had some nice rides in the shop today.

Make sure you order the clips for the CF lip. Was told the fiberglass spoiler use different clips.

Shit! Stressful. I'm on the cameras front and back all the time with parking bumpers around here it's a must! Fixable, stings but fixable. STILL WAITING ON MY FRONT AND REAR PARKING SENSORS GM...PLEASE!

Based on my experience the parking sensors don’t detect the parking lot concrete stops. Kind of a bummer because on my Mercedes they would and I was expecting the same thing.

Precisely why I didn't get the CF package.

I'll be curious to know how much the replacement cost for the plastic ones are. Please post if you get a chance!

I know the 5 BW gloss black lips are around mid $200s from online parts dealers...not sure about the 4 BW

I don't think the clips are different...I swapped had the CF lip swapped and no issues

IDK, the first time my rear sensors picked up something and slammed on the brake scared the heck out of me. I got out to see what I had hit. Didn't hit anything. It was a lone, tall weed in a gravel lot.

They seem to be geared toward taller objects. Mine have never detected a curb or parking block. Although it could be they’re not working properly.

Sometimes when I back into the garage, it'll stop. Scared the poop out of me the first time. I, too, thought I hit the garage or something. Now I just turn it off if I back in.

Mine detects the trash can and if I'm backing up to quick it will apply the brake for me....

First service at the dealer today for oil change and kick tires and the experience was a I had hoped, outstanding! They walked me back to the service area when the oil was changed, no chunks. Eyeballed what's being used. 1k miles, 500 more and its gets even better! On the road with the wife for some miles next week. All is thankfully well, so its road trip! I'm grateful this dealer will look out for it! Outstanding customer service!....Enjoy the weekend folks!


OHH then I saw this! That color on the C8 just jumped in the sun! Didn't the Vee have a recent limited run in a similar color? She is pretty!

Took her to the dealer and they ordered two interior CF trim parts that were damaged prior to me taking delivery. Then went to tinting place to get some bubble issues fixed. Then called the Stinger people to get info on their laser system. Then called the Stinger installer and got an estimate. They told me they did a 5BW a month or so ago. Going to get an appointment set up after I talk myself into the $4K expense.

Debaged and installed monochromatic emblems. Under hood question - the driver's side strut tower has a grey electrical box attached. Is everyone else's also exposed? Or is mine missing a cover? Pic below
