Pics of your Blackwing in regular parking spots

Hard to ignore 🤣

Joking aside, ya it’s on my to-do list. I’m trying to find the right depth, too far in and what was the point of going with the CF tips? Too far out and there’s tips for days. Adjustment is a pain once the tip pipe pinches, I need to get a rubber pad and mallet to adjust deeper without cracking the CF tip.

In the meantime, tips for all.

Yeah, I'll be installing mine closer to spring, and I already am dreading the tip alignments!

20 more inches of snow coming this weekend. This will be the regular parking spot for a loooong time 😥
That car is so BEAUTIFUL!!

PS, am I the only guy with a set of OEM black lugs sitting on the shelf?? I thought you bought some too. I have been meaning to throw mine on. I'll get to it one of these days.

Mine are also on the shelf 🤣
Along with my Corsa catback and a few small goodies. Can't wait for Spring!!

So I ended up selling my Evora GT since it now gets like no use at all with my other cars.

Whoever says these are good in the snow, NO WAY! Was stuck and spinning for 10 minutes, spreading salt, didn't think I would get back into the garage. Nearly flat, some ice and 1/2” of snow maybe. Those Michelins were like hockey pucks since it is 15° out.

Lotus had same problem, slightly better with weight over the rear wheels. Caddy stays parked until April!

PS - Black diamond tricoat looks like black raven when cloudy outside.

Don’t you have a Focus RS? Haha no need to take anything else in the snow, I could drive circles around people with the Michelin Alpin 4s on that car. I would drive around in drift mode just hooning around every corner in the snow, so controllable and fun.

And I agree. My 4 BW with X Ice tires is not very good in the snow/ice. My Miata is actually pretty decent though which surprised me.

I drove to work two days ago VERY SLOWLY because it was 20° outside. Luckily it's slow speeds and just a few miles but holy hell I did not like that.

Oh yeah, but had to move the BW out since it was under the Lotus and get the Lotus ready to ship to its new owner.

Otherwise I have been blasting around in the RS, which is quite fun and very capable with snow tires

15 degrees on the stock Michelins, eh? Here is what Tire Rack (and your owner's manual) says about that:

"Note: Tires exposed to temperatures of 20 degrees F (-7 degrees C) or lower must be permitted to gradually return to temperatures of at least 40 degrees F (5 degrees C) for at least 24 hours before they are flexed in any manner, such as by adjusting inflation pressures, mounting them on wheels or using them to support, roll or drive a vehicle.

Flexing of the specialized rubber compounds used in Max Performance Summer tires during cold-weather use can result in irreversible compound cracking. Compound cracking is not a warrantable condition because it occurs as the result of improper use or storage, tires exhibiting compound cracking must be replaced."

Yeah, I'm aware, but had to move things around unfortunately. Not like I was taking corners at 60mph, just slow rolling in the driveway. Wasn't ideal for sure.
