MPG problem on new 2024 CT5-V Blackwing

I only have 350 miles so far, but the new wing is averaging around 18 MPG. And this is all city driving. Yes, it is still early, but my 2022 was so much better. The highest it would ever see was around 15, and often sat in a 13 MPG range. I am not panicking, and really believe this car will drop to proper MPG soon enough, but it is still a bit alarming to glance down and see such a high number. Hope you guys are all getting waaaaaaaay less than me.

13mpg city is where I’m at. I did a 600mi highway trip and was at 21-22mpg which I was happy to see.

I hate to tell you but I think your car might be broken. I average 11mpg around town.

If you're averaging 18 mpg per city driving, I suggest you seriously consider the lemon law in your state. I would also call GM Customer Service to register a complaint about gas mileage so they have it on record when you Lemon Law your BW.

No 5BW should be getting more than 13 mpg in the city. It's Unamerican.

13mpg city. I have noted it doesn’t make much difference what RPM I shift at/run at. So rev to your hearts content as appropriate for the conditions.

Those 13 miles are the best $4 I spend that day!

You can improve fuel efficiency by running the heater with the windows closed and drafting large vehicles like dump or garbage trucks. Too bad the auto start/stop isn't standard on Blackwings- maybe there'll be an aftermarket solution. You can also improve mileage by eliminating weight like the supercharger.

I dunno man. I'd shoot for 8-9... just in case you miss your target, you should still be good

Man, tough room. I think I'm getting 17-18 running around town, but that's combined city and highway. Just came back from California. I averaged 22-23 on the trip out and back. I think that's pretty good. I believe that matches EPA Highway. I know it's a lot better than my Expedition gets.

Take it back, ASAP. I only see single digits when going around town. I think my computer could be broke, showed 124 miles till empty when I left the house then after 20/30 minutes of city driving the light almost came on. I contribute this perhaps to the extra weight of my 18 yr old passenger....

My 1967 Cadillac was the pinnacle of mpg back in the 60's. It has improved with unleaded gasoline to about 10 mpg ! LOL !
