Where does it say anything about it?
Ok, that's what I thought, but the Mustang Mach-E is apparently going to be offering some type of gear change mechanism. Just announced it.It's electric...just kidding (winking eye).
The times may be a-changin', but over a few days and several hundred miles, the Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing showed that a classic can still jam. Sure, this car makes some sacrifices to keep its base price low, and ticking options boxes will destroy the value proposition, but the Caddy's driving dynamics and overall packaging earned Detroit the win. Tail-happy rear-drive antics pair perfectly with the Blackwing's huffing and puffing V-8.
Wow their fix is just heavier oil?![]()
GM Issues Stop-Sale and Recall for Failed 6.2L V8s in 2021-2024 Trucks and SUVs
After widespread engine failures and an NHTSA investigation, GM is recalling all 2021-24 full-size pickups and SUVs equipped with the 6.2L V8.www.thedrive.com
Probably enough for the engines that aren't too far gone to last beyond the powertrain warranty so when it does go boom it's on the customer.Wow their fix is just heavier oil?

Both were me exact thoughts. GM does another half assed "recall". Way to step up!Probably enough for the engines that aren't too far gone to last beyond the powertrain warranty so when it does go boom it's on the customer.
The writer owns that Blackwing.
I enjoyed this comparison - straight up and to the point...but perhaps could have included some more specific performance driving analysis. In theory these are performance sedans for the enthusiast and not just luxury cars (but also not just track or pure sports cars)...so mostly his perspectives are valid. In the end he made the right conclusion - Caddy for the driving enthusiast. Each car certainly has its merits and none are "bad" cars. There are valid reasons for choosing and preferring each,
If the Quad were offered in a manual stateside I would also be in one. It’s such a beautiful car inside and out. I fell in love with it at the auto show. They did make it in a manual overseas. The Blackwing is great though and probably less of a headache… I have done a lot of research on the QF and it has reliability issues and a sparse dealer/service network.I enjoyed this comparison - straight up and to the point...but perhaps could have included some more specific performance driving analysis. Still....once again the CT 4 V BW shines where those of us who already get it really understand and appreciate, Its just a drivers car that does it (very) well. And as nice as the interiors and amenities of Lexus, BMW, Audi etc are, and the panache of the name plates...its clear what the enthusiast drivers choice should be.
And I'll say it again - the CT 4 Vs turbo V6 is a real joy even if perhaps not technically the "best" engine - I think its right for the car and performs very well with a naturally aspirated and free revving feeling. I also think the Caddy;s interior and features are spot on - purposeful, easy to use, highly functional and just great IMO. I'm not wanting different or more.
OK Exhaust sounds....we might want more....but it sounds good and there are now some options to enhance. The car is an absolute joy to drive and to be in. I can't fault folks who might choose the lexus or M3 or such for whatever reason but I think I clearly made the right choice for me (great MT alone is a reason) and I think many who choose to pass on or are unaware of what this car has to offer are seriously missing out.
Too bad the Alpha Guilia QF never came in MT....now that would be a serious enthusiast driving competitor. Even if I still would not be displeased with the Caddy or regret my choice.
Vid is live now:Savagegeese video incoming. If you've seen the others they've done, you know a refresh and Precision Pkg is more than enough for Jack to justify another go.
