Is this a decent price for this car?

If you dig into the vehicle report there's an accident involving a tow with 'unknown' severity and a Lien reported, so... buyer beware?

Thank you so much for pointing that out. Been busy at work and haven't dived deeply into the history. I'll move on.

I wouldn’t be too concerned about the lien. Whoever originally purchased the car probably took out a loan to buy it. However, I would be more concerned the car was involved in an accident and had to be towed.

The selling organization automatically gets a 1 red flag raised by me no matter the car in question, but for a specialty vehicle like a 5BW, all the flags go up. At this price point I'd look for an honest car with all the history laid out for review.

Not for nothing, but Auto Check isn't that great. Spend a few bucks and get a Carfax. I've also used "BadVin". They usually have some additional details. At this price point, and for this type of car, it's worth the homework. Sounds more like a pass to me. Always makes me wonder when someone trades a car a few months after an accident.

painful if you like it and find nothing, but if you are pursing the car, I would pull the wrap off for full paint and body inspection. Hell, hire a pro to do it, put it on a lift, etc.

I have my 2022 5BW automatic, white with less than 6000 miles. Never been in any accident or mechanical issues. $75,000 is what I have found my car to be valued at present. Then you also have to add the sales tax, title and tags to the purchase. You can find a better deal with less miles out there, with some detective work.

I agree with @TheShark, and whenever I see a car with a wrap, I wonder if they are trying to hide something. I realize that people do wraps for many other reasons, but I'd want to see the car in all of its naked glory.

The price is probably fair if there had not been any accident history. As it is, no, it should be closer to 60 than 70K.

KBB just posted my car trade in at $68-74K. 2023 manual with 4500 miles. Our values are dropping faster than Bitcoin.

Well, that's trade-in, not retail. And when I look at cars for sale (purely for research purposes) it seems that most of them have had engine replacements and buybacks, the latter of which often affects resale values. And KBB doesn't distinguish things at that granular of a level.

But yes, it is a bit disconcerting for those of us who flip cars frequently. Fortunately, for me anyway, there's nothing else out there that I would want to replace it with, so it's a keeper.

I think (hope) that values over the long term will look a bit better.

It looks like Cadillac are making as many as they can sell, and will keep doing so for the foreseeable ... so that blows a lot of speculators out of the water.

Honestly though, I think I would rather that than something like the ridiculous Porsche GT car situation where they're more like garage-based asset diversification schemes only available to those who bend over for their dealer.

Bonus is that I can drive and enjoy without worrying one bit about what the mileage is doing to the value!

The three of us are in a similar boat. Not that I have any intention of selling, seeing the diminished value from new is painful. I knew it would come just don't want to know.
But we both have the color advantage - RIFT, you know, the fastest color out there. 😏
That alone adds like $10k + more to the overall value!

If it would make you feel better, compare our cars' depreciation to a BMW 7 series, or Mercedes S class, or any Bentley. And good luck finding any of those with a manual transmission and a glorious obnoxious exhaust sound.
