Tried calling that 855 number earlier and I just get a Verizon wireless message saying it isn’t available. 🤷🏽‍♂️

When I asked about the V-Performance Academy the salesman had no idea what I was talking about, and the owner of the dealership said I had to sign up via the Cadillac website
Such as surprise, the sales guy didn't know. The owner absolutely should have been able to help.

Hey all, I could use some help. I finally got my ‘25 CT5 BW today. When I asked about the V-Performance Academy the salesman had no idea what I was talking about, and the owner of the dealership said I had to sign up via the Cadillac website. I don’t see anywhere on the site to do any such thing. What am I missing and how do I go about signing up? Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Crazy enough, I called the 855 number again just now and got through. Last night I tried three times and got the Verizon wireless message. 🤷🏽‍♂️

I’m learning more and more how bad the dealership I bought from is. But hey, they are the only dealership in the country that had the exact car I wanted so what’s a guy to do?

All set up. They’re going to check with GM to ensure I’m not blowing smoke up their skirt, then send me an email to register. Friday I’ll be signing up for an actual date. Cadillacvnet for the win! If it wasn’t for this place I’d never have even known about the Academy. The shitty dealership wasn’t gonna tell me. The salesmen didn’t even know it existed.🤦🏽‍♂️

There was a guy in my class who was from Quebec and he said his dealership didn't know anything about it and that he had to wait close to 3 years to get his car!

Yeah, I watched a million videos on the car… as I’m sure most of us did. One of them was by a Canadian dude who said that if you lived in Canada you pretty much were not going to be able to get the car.

I mean, my waiting was for the right car to come available, which was about a year of waiting… but once found it was only like a month waiting to actually have keys in hand. That was frustrating enough, I can’t imagine three years! By then there would be new/updated versions out there.

most definitely. Did you take a guest? I’d take my wife for the extra $40 (that’s stupid cheap!) if she was able to go to the classes and sit in on the track ride. If they’re not allowed to do that however, she’d be bored as bored gets.

It's hard to spend a better $40...she will be fine with you and the folks at the Academy as guests I'm sure.

Money well spent IMHO. You reached out to some good folks already in this thread. Go from there.

She can attend classes, hang out on sidelines with instructors for side events like ABS training, AutoX, and 0-60 launches. They also can get hot laps with instructors after lunch. And they can watch the track from the 3 story tower while out on track.

Also a pool, gym, etc. Lunch is also included for the $40.

Gonna be an easy sell then. It might make it a little harder to coordinate dates with her work schedule, but maybe not. They’re sending me available dates on Friday.

BTW - Brenna is awesome! She's like 25 years old, and bested my track time by almost 3 seconds when she was going at it around 9/10's. Very skilled and a patient instructor.

They also have an on site masseuse (if you’re staying on site as opposed to the holiday inn overflow). Just for help with convincing her efforts :)

Myth busting for the sake of fellow Canucks who want get one because this is the second post here that incorrectly suggested this.
Personal experience: I’m on my second Blackwing now, first owned a ‘22 which I got after waiting about six months during all that supply chain craziness, and now own a ‘24.
In between two more allocations came up that I couldn’t take because of GM Canada rules that are intended to deter Canadian market cars from being immediately flipped for a profit to a U.S. buyer (something that may no longer be a concern because of the stupid trade war).
Was also offered an allocation after my ‘24 went into production so turned that down, too, so that’s five allocations came up for me at the two dealerships where I was on the list over the course of about 2 1/2 years.
All this to say, fellow Canucks, you can order one and have it in your driveway in Canada pretty much as quickly as anyone can in the US, just call around, find a dealership or two that has or have received one or two before and whose list isn’t too long, and put your refundable deposit or deposits down and wait a few months until one of your Bingo cards is called.
Of course now you may have to pay 25% more for one (see stupid tariffs comment above, though I suppose that probably has had the unintended positive effect for me, at least, of increasing the value of my ‘24).
