Delivery Thread - Post Pictures Here!

It’s a GM vehicle, shouldn’t be surprised.

More importantly, the CT5 in black looks incredibly aggressive and mean. I can’t do black anymore with my OCD but man do they look good in black.

With my newly installed system for the incoming CT4V Blackwing, I no longer fear black cars in my future. This time around however, for me black is not the right color for it.

The detailer also found a paint drip / nub on mine.. It's on the bottom of the passenger door and hard to see . But I'll take pics, post it, and look for more.

Exactly. The reviews praise the pricepoints of the Blackwings compared to competitors, but these are still made by GM. I have owned the brand for years, this is what you get. Paint drips, misaligned doors, etc. But you also get great driving dynamics, so you have to decide what you prefer. I want a manual transmission high powered ICE, and the other attributes of these cars are secondary for me.

Mine came in mid-March. It was supposed to arrive 3/28, but of course I got the call that it was here on Friday, 3/11 - about an hour after we had left town on a spring break road trip with our kids! They held it a week for me. I almost have the first 500 miles on it and now I'm getting xpel put on it to keep it pristine:

First pics after taking delivery on April 11th. Car ordered July 2021, 3000 status July 2021, initial TPW September 2021, built January 2022, delivered to dealer March 2022. I drove ten miles straight to our detailer and picked up today after 11 days. Paint correction, full PPF and ceramic on everything. What an amazing car inside and out, and we’ve owned many great cars throughout the years. It’s so worth the wait!

You went the whole 9 yards on caring for your car. I love it man. Nice!

Thanks! Now it can be properly driven without upsetting my OCD self. We've done the same with all of our cars over the last seven years with no regrets. For those still waiting, stay patient and enjoy the process. All frustrations disappear once you feel the torque!

Mine has arrived! I picked up the car two days ago from the dealership. I asked them not to detail it at all, as I wanted to do it myself and I'm glad I did. Gave it a quick bath on Friday, then Saturday morning I clayed it, cleaned up the rims, and used some meguiar's 3 in 1 to polish it up. It's been a long few months, but I'm extremely pleased with the car.

I was unable to find a manual version to test drive, so I'd only driven the automatic when I placed my order. I'll be honest, I'm not used to how the manual feels in this coming from cars with a lot less horsepower and a much deeper clutch engagement point. I have no doubt I'll come to it, but I feel like I'm learning to drive again.

Overall, despite knowing exactly what I was getting, I am still pleasantly surprised with the car. I feel like that's worth repeating - I'd watched a dozen reviews, I'd driven the automatic, and I'm the one who checked every box on the order. But as soon as I drove THIS car, I realized I was still impressed and surprised with how good it is. The cabin feels light and airy, the touch points are of excellent quality, and the exhaust note... oh my, the exhaust note.

The salesman started cracking up when my response to "what do you plan to do with the car?" was "pick up the kids from school", but I'm gonna drive this thing. It deserves to be driven.

Below are a few pics of mine (I especially like that side profile shot), and I'll go ahead and include the timeline on mine in case its beneficial to everyone else who is impatiently awaiting.

You're not wrong. I feel bad for the people who've had to wait so much longer. I just got very lucky that a dealership reached out to me with the allocation within a week of placing my order.

congrats! your timeline gives me hope as I was built a week after yours and currently has an EDD of early june per my dealer.

Side note, was your car delivered without parking sensors? if so did you dealer know anything about when they would retrofit them?

It was, and it was explained to me that they will mail me a letter like a recall and it'll be able to be performed at any service center
