I'd take the RS6 avant wagon over the 4BW any day of the week. That thing is sick!!
That thing has a monster spec sheet. But also….5,000lbs!!!
You think that until you actually drive it and live with it…….then find out it’s actually a fairly boring car to DD.I'd take the RS6 avant wagon over the 4BW any day of the week. That thing is sick!!
speaking from experience? would love to hear more as its a car i'd always thought about buying one dayYou think that until you actually drive it and live with it…….then find out it’s actually a fairly boring car to DD.
I second the request. I've always admired the RS6 since I first saw earlier iterations in Germany and the UK in the mid 2000's...though I've never actually been in the market for one. Admired doesn't do my lust for the car justice. At the time I owned a pretty tricked out B5 S4 Avant and I saw the car as a wicked big brother to my car. They looked and continue to look amazing with performance to match. All that being said - at the same time - to me - they are a huge beast - more luxo cruiser than actual sports car per se. Still I love (performance) wagons and the RS6 is certainly that.speaking from experience? would love to hear more as its a car i'd always thought about buying one day
Miata too.If you want a good MT, basically it is Honda/Acura, GM and Porsche (6Mt for Porsche, their 7MT is so so).
I always forget about the Miata, but good call. Never driven one, but I’m guessing the Lotus Emira is probably very good to from reviews I’ve read/watched.Miata too.
Lotus manuals are very hit/miss in my experience. Have not driven the Emira but the Evora could be anywhere from a great transmission to a downright bad one. From what I have heard from people who I trust the emira manual is still meh.I always forget about the Miata, but good call. Test drove a couple of used, but current gen RS3s and they are very nice, but I always went a different direction from some reason or another. Didn’t like the zero button interior and my G87 proved why to me. Also the stock Trofeo R tires meant I’d have to immediately buy PS4Ss to replace them as I don’t like DDing on R comp tires. They are far too sticky for my taste and collect/throw rocks like crazy.speaking from experience? would love to hear more as its a car i'd always thought about buying one day
i miss my evora 400 sometimes.... not often tho. its a lot of money for what it isI had an RS6 last year for a short time. I did wheels, lowered it with Audi software, removed resonators, and did an upgraded tune that put the power at almost 750 HP. It was crazy fast, and never really spun the tires with Quattro, and it looked pretty sick. However, for some reason it just didn't feel right for me. I was never going to take it skiing and I don't have kids. I had traded my G80 M3 toward it, and I traded the RS6 for my previous Blackwing. After that buying experience didn't go well from Arrowhead Cadillac, I sold it and bought my Evora GT. I was originally going to buy an Emira, but I didn't like the seating position and they were having too many teething issues. The lotus dealer is over 4 hours away from me. The Evora GT has been pretty awesome, the transmission isn't anything to write home about, but it's not terrible. I'm working on trying to sell the Evora since I bought the new Blackwing and I have my 2017 Focus RS I bought a couple months ago.
Overall, the Evora GT gets the most attention anywhere you go, and it sounds really good with the third cat removed.

yea, 'meh' is how i'd describe the evora manual. its kinda cool part of the linkage is exposed like in a spyker but its not as solid or notchy as you'd think it would be given the car its inLotus manuals are very hit/miss in my experience. I had a 2006 NC. Miss that car a lot. Dropping the top on a nice day was great.I have a 2009 Miata Sport manual. It's close to perfect for a small, zippy manual. My only complaint as a 5' 6" driver, the clutch engagement feels unnecessarily long. It was longer than my 1968 Barracuda 5 speed Tremec.
Yeah, unfortunately it developed a knock and I don't want to bother opening it up to realize it needs a new block. Hence, my path to the BW and here I am.I had a 2006 NC. Miss that car a lot. Dropping the top on a nice day was great.
