Well...shit...I tried deleting a couple posts out of the old order tracking thread and I apparently nuked the whole damn thread!

I had CF1 and CF backs as well but I was told that if I need up coming allocation, I need to drop both. Otherwise, I could be sitting for a long time (I placed order in August). So that's what I did. Hopefully, my order will be picked up this week.

I understand...I guess I am not budging on the CF1 and CF seat backs and since being jerked around on C8 for 1yr another year with the BW not going to bother me. I just want what I order and no more BS....

Only a year? It took 19 months to get my '21 C8 from placing my order.

cancelled all CF... breaks me to say it... but i have 14k to play w now. and dealt w the retrofit of the chips for the heated and cooled seats and heated steering wheel

i had all the CF options and wanted them. oh well, its loaded otherwise.

Only a year? It took 19 months to get my '21 C8 from placing my order.

Jeesh...I never got a C8 right after hitting the 1yr mark dealer informed me they will not honor our negotiated price of MSRP and will add 10k to all C8's and this was last month or so. Oct-Nov I had already started my hunt for Blackwing and finalized a build end of Nov with deposit.

As for the Chevy dealer well let's just say allocations for that dealer most likely have been terminated for 90 days because of their unnecessary ADM that was specifically added in lieu of ordering and 100% against GM's wishes.
Careful who you screw ladies somebody like myself is cool until you screw me...........

The build sheets for R37 "Black wheels" call them Satin "Graphic" Finish...... vs Graphite....

I am forever tormented by a mental image of satin (devil) completing a graphic finishing move in Mortal Combat while hearing the "Finish Him" sound, every time I read this....

At least its spelled correctly on the "window sticker"

OEM Carbon Fiber - Engineered and wind tunnel tested for increased down force.

Aftermarket Carbon Fiber - I'm unaware of any aftermarket manufacturer who goes to the expense of wind tunnel testing. Please advise if you're aware of any. So, best case it's cosmetic only and worse case, it's detrimental to the car's aerodynamics.

Carbon Fiber to a gearhead is like crack to a crackhead..... not all, but most of us, would still buy it knowing that

My question is if the heated seats chips are installed, say one year after car delivery, does the warranty on those features start at that time?

That's a very good question that never crossed my mind..... I highly doubt it would be extended, however, I am curious myself, now. I will dig into this...

This is correct. However, most of GM's documents, when is says V series, unless it says "excludes blackwing," we have to assume V-Series includes Blackwing as on some documents, it does....

When you have multiple dept's working on things, it can get confusing.....

Original one said "Luxury, Premium Luxury, Sport, V-Series" for the heated steering wheel.

Latest one for the heated seats says "Front: Luxury, Premium Luxury, Sport"

it keeps changing but at least doing so is helping them pump out cars...

i thought it was just the steering wheel, didnt realize it was the seats as well... my salesman told me that it would need to be retrofitted... i thght the same as you... that said, salesman DONT KNOW shit about the cars theyre selling, its embarrassing honestly... if i knew so little about my product and craft i wouldnt be able to come close to affording this car... i know more about a vast number of cars, they dont know anything about the one brand they sell... its pathetic

Its been both... Not sure who your salesman is but to be fair, the original documentation released to dealers wasn't perfectly clear that Blackwing was excluded.

Even GM employees that I spoke to that are not directly associated with the program, thought Blackwing was part of it as well as on most GM documentation, "V-Series" includes Blackwing unless it specifically states that it excludes it.

Every tech at every dealership everywhere would completely disagree with this statement, "I always understood stealerships made the most money on warranty work".

My understanding is that warranty work is where most of the revenue comes in, but hour for hour, its not as profitable as say a customer paying job...
