2025 CT5 & CT5-V Blackwing Order Support Guide

When I was looking for my 24’ it seemed like there were a lot of the with CCB sitting and available but I didn’t want them bc of the $9k cost. So out of curiosity I called my local dealership and replacement cost for rotors and pads was over $18k with labor so I was like hellll no.
Worth every penny just to avoid the dust. Ceramic your wheels and barrels all you want. It might make the clean up easier but I consider no dust to clean easiest.

Uninspiring colors. Though I was fond of the controversial Rift Metallic. Would love to see Deep Space and Drift in person.

Maybe we get a preview of 2026 colors before the 2025's even deliver . =/

Somewhere here in another thread I have a picture of deep space. It's basically a dark gray, but has tiny gold flakes in it. It's very close to Shadow Metallic, but that has blue undertones. I'd like to see it outside in the sun.

This sounds like an agreeable color. I was not a fan of the ambiguous nature of shadow metallic bluehue.

Bonus would be if the gold flakes in DSM make tech bronze wheels more attractive.

There is also a youtube video with DSM that I thought was a pretty good view.

Dealer has a drift ct4 in transit, but I am trending toward a 'no' for baby blue..

Thank you.

Deep space is RPO GAI. You could check other GM brands to see if anyone has that paint code using a different name. It would be worth the aggravation before you order.

I just picked up my '25 4BW in Drift late last week. To get the actual color in pictures has been difficult. This color shifts colors from light blue to gray in light/shade. It certainly isn't for everyone, but I absolutely love the color. My previous was a '23 Rift V. The BW is so different and so much better.

I checked out two 4s this past weekend in Drift, have a 5 order pending allocation in that color. One car was outside on an overcast day, the other was on the showroom floor.

Seeing it in person didn't change my mind, but I wondered how much metallic you see in direct sunshine? In shadow, the paint almost looked matte, it's cool for sure.

Actually think it looks good and these pictures

You don't see a lot of metallic at all. Very similar to Rift, it was there but difficult to catch. Funny you mention matte, I have already had a few comments saying the same and I agree, at times, it does appear to have a matte/satin finish.

Ah, maybe I read incorrect info. Either way, would love the more precise handling but don't need the track ready cc brakes.

I feel the same way. Would def get the Precision Package if it came without CCB. Right now, I am kind of on the fence about it.

The few on the fence over CCB's. Today I only wish both of mine had CCB's. The amount of time it cost me to wash the brake dust constantly would have been worth 9g's. Neither of mine will likely ever see a race track either.

I’m sure the precision package was calibrated to the lower unsprung weight of the CCBs. I’ve put a bunch of track time on my 5BW and so far the brakes, particularly the rotors, have held up well. These aren’t the same CCBs as 15-20 years ago.

I've never had ceramic coating last more than a few months when applied to wheels and then driven with any aggression. The heat from the brakes seems to negatively affect its effectiveness long term.

And I've used Sonax and pressure washer, too.

And I need my inner barrels sparkling, too.

CCBs for me on my next ride.

No one has mentioned that CCBs have to get up in temp to brake properly – otherwise there is a risk of overshooting your mark when the brakes are cold.

Is that rumor, fact, or only applicable to older-designed CCBs?

In my limited experience with bmw's ccb, they performed fine when cold. YMMV. I still prefer the pedal feel of steel brakes, but with BBW that may not be as large of a factor.

I'm still too cheap to get them just to aid in cleaning.

CCBs perform fine when cold, they also have more initial bit if you take the time to burnish them.

The true Motorsports carbon carbon brakes (different construction) need temp to work properly, and that’s one of the reasons you don’t see them in road applications.

Does anyone have a Cadillac web site build code for a 2025 CT5-V or v Blackwing that was generated at the Dealer?

Any code will do. Must be a 2025 build code.

I am asking because the internal Dealer configurator generates a build code even though the configurator is not available on the public web site yet.

When I was configuring my 2025 CT4-V Blackwing in July, 2024, the public web site was still not ready; but when I utilized the dealer-provided build code on the public web site, the code populated the 2025 configurator. A little glitch/workaround.

Here is the build code for a non BW our dealer ordered in May and was built in July -DQBMRN.
If you have a truck on how to use this to get to the configurator, I would be interested in the hack. Please share if it works !!!🤞

Thanks for providing.

As I imagine you saw, the Cadillac web site returns an error message “The code you entered is wrong.”

Hi,
Yeah I did not realize the order number and the build number were different things. I provided the order number the dealer gave me from the build sheet. I do have a VIN, but nothing that is called a build number.
Where would I find my build number??

You would have had to manually configure the car with the salesperson on his internal configurator, generating a configuration code.
