I can't believe they are already being delivered - I figured we wouldn't be seeing until November at the earliest.

I also don't get the hate for the new front clip - it looks WAY better than the old nose IMO.

Gotta be a demo car

Can't believe I'm saying this, but in that color (and not a big silver fan), that angle, that lighting, it looks really good. Can't wait to see one in person. As an aside, too bad they can't move that side sensor lower.

It is an engineer's car, guy who shared photo is his brother in law or something. Surprising they are still needing engineers to drive them around, not like they are all that different from the previous models.

Think that camera angle actually stretched the front a bit, some lens distortion which is common in car photos. Makes it look more CTS-like.

I concur... but it's not just car photos, it's any picture taken with a phone camera with their tiny little wide-angle lenses. That said, it's remarkable (to me anyway) how good these cameras have gotten.

And yes, I like that color a lot too!

The new front end looks nice but not as nice as I like my '22 front end.
I prefer the previous front end too. I'm a big fan of how the vertical running light is split. It gives the front end a bit of depth, almost suggesting that the light weaves back behind the top of the bumper and then comes back out.

I also much prefer the digital gauge cluster that's recessed back into the dash over the giant flat screen that just sits behind the steering wheel. I do like the improved infotainment screen, but I wish they could have found a way to keep the recessed gauge cluster. It's much more befitting of a performance car.

Calling in a '25 5V Blackwing order around noon. They told me I could make a final decision on colors when they get word of an actual allocation and acceptance of the order. Was hoping for a few more photos taken of real cars. It'd be great if GM used a configurator that didn't look like it was from 2001...

Any downside to the ccbs? Other than cost? I am assuming replacement costs are just as high? Do they last longer?
When I was looking for my 24’ it seemed like there were a lot of the with CCB sitting and available but I didn’t want them bc of the $9k cost. So out of curiosity I called my local dealership and replacement cost for rotors and pads was over $18k with labor so I was like hellll no.

It's my understanding that they last > 100K miles.

According to this thread they have both minimum thickness and minimum weight stamped on the rotors.

Hmm yeah, they will last a lifetime. But, if you somehow have an accident, then break easily (insurance would cover anyway).

I remember reading that you need to be careful when removing/installing wheels because CCB rotors are very easy to break.
