^^^^That will make me consider a change if born!!!!

Love the wagons, The Avant RS6 (titanium gray) is one I keep an eye on. Unique car design with high performance features! Love that combo!

If the right deal comes around, may tempt me to make a change OR BETTER YET, TALK THE WIFEY INTO A NEW ADDITION TO THE FAMILY!

She would be willing to drive the Avant RS6 for some reason, she wont get near driving the 5BW. She is scared of it!

That would be so amazing and exactly why GM will never do it :(
Yeah to bad American preferences toward SUVs took over during the last 20 years otherwise maybe Cadillac might have made a CT 4 (or ATS) wagon or hatch years ago...but that bird has flown unfortunately. And thats really too bad as I love wagons & hatchbacks and would have bought one vs a sedan without hesitation. I like the smaller CT3 idea as well...as long as it would be MT I'm sold! Again, were not going to be seeing one unless its maybe an EV....but likely it would be SUV stance and made in china...

I have owned many hatches and loved them all...never a sporty one but they all worked great for me!

Agree - they are just so practical and so much easier to load up as compared to a normal sedan. My sister drives some sort of BMW 4 series liftback and I so wish our CT4 was one....alas...

My first car was a 1981 Toyota Starlet - a RWD MT hatch that was just a fantastic (and quick) little car. My GF at the time loved that car so much she bought one too. I kept the car for 20 years and recovered it from salvage in 1986 after getting hit 3 times in a 2 month span where I collected more $ than I originally paid for the car. (turned it into a down payment for my MR2 in 1989).

I had some real adventures in that Starlet including a very eventful drive across country in early 1982 culminating in a Vegas-LA run (after 2 days of no sleep) following a storm that tore the roof off the convention center. The following year I spun out on PCH almost putting us into the ocean before I recovered after receiving some special attention from my GF during the drive. And then I used to date an ex cop ex DEA agent who would O just from my cutting up in LA street traffic - encouraging me all the while...I also once drove the car across a railroad bridge on the tracks and through a tunnel right on the other side....train came through minutes after me getting off the tracks..While not hatchback specific certainly memorable...(I'm more mellow now).

When I was first dating my wife in the mid 1980s I advised her to get a 1st gen Acura Integra - FWD MT hatch and we owned that well into the 2000s.

But my favorite hatch has to be the 2012 GTI we still own (that the wife hates....as its quite a loud car). Its just a monster performance wise in all respects. But none can beat my old 2001 Audi S4 Avant for performance and hauling ability. I used to tell folks it was a true SUV.
