Why does my HUD position reset every time I start the car!?

I move to where I want
I press set
I press the corresponding driver number
It beeps

Next time it’s right back to where it was! Same thing with both keys. Is there some super secret setting?

I would guess it is tied to Drive mode setting.

In two years my HUD has reset to a very low position a couple times that I can think of. I wasn’t aware it’s tied to any set button or drive mode.

Additionally, this happens to me with the side mirrors as well, but not as frequent as the HUD.

This happens in both my 21' Suburban HC and my 23' CT5BW and seems to coincide to when the collision avoidance notification changes from beeping (which I prefer and have to set manually) back to seat vibrate. It's seems to have a reset-to-default action that's triggered somehow. I have no idea why this happens but now that it happens in both at no regular interval I can determine, I chalk it up to a GM programming gremlin.

Cant say my HUD has ever not been where I set it but like VBhak my side mirrors definitely have mind of their own.

No matter where I set them they go back to some super secret agent setting all the time if I use the reverse turn down function.
I just ended up turning off that setting so they would stay where i put them.
