Welcome to the Cadillac V-Series Forums!

Who here will be getting the carbon fiber packages?

I'm not interested in the package as I don't like the back wing that's included. I prefer the matching painted one. Hopefully, we will be able to buy the front and side parts separately.
Common thinking is that adding the front aero without the rear aero will throw the car's balance off. These are not cosmetic only pieces. In any case, I'd imagine that they'd be available individually perhaps, requiring a Blackwing VIN to get them.

That's true. Didn't think of that.

One thing I just noticed on the price list that my dealer sent to me
VP1Splitter, Base, No Charge$0.00
VP2
Carbon Fiber splitter, front
$0.00

Does that mean that front splitter is already included at no charge?

Are you sure it lists VP2 and it's not VS2 instead? I see VS2 in the order guide, but no VP2.

In either case, based on the order guide, VSN is the standard front splitter. Then if you order the 10-speed automatic, VP1 is added at no charge. Not exactly sure how that splitter differs from VSN. Then VS2 is just part of the carbon fiber package 1 (CFZ), which if you order that, VSN or VP1 should drop off, and VS2 should appear.

My CT5-V BW order has the automatic and both carbon fiber packages and shows CFZ, CFV and VS2.

You are correct. It is VS2.

I know this may not be a popular opinion, but I did not get the CF packages because I think it starts to make the aero look a little gaudy (i held the same opinion of the last CTS-V). I think the base splitter, ground effects, and lack of rear splitter looks pretty elegant in my mind. If I was tracking the car, I probably would have got it.

The good news is that if you are trying to decide outside of tracking it, its all in what your design preferences are since the performance benefits aren't as relevant. As my buddy said, get what you like!
Totally agree with you and I did not any package either. I like the color matched trunk wing looks a lot better than the CF abomination. I don't plan on ever tracking the car (never did it with Subaru or SS) so I'm fine with the sleeper look.

Honestly I wish I disliked it more to save the money, but I think that it will probably match well with black raven paint which I've all but decided on for my ct4v bw. A blackwing on a black blackwing, so subtle. Here's my awkward photoshop of how it might look.

That photoshop is nice. Wish we could see all the colors at that angle

Looks great on black. I went with Electric Blue so it would looks weird on it.

Should we volunteer you to photoshop all colors in that angle and Graphite wheels ? 😉

I second that :)

Lol I wish I could, white and black were easy because I just took out the saturation. I can try to mess around with it but no promises!

here's electric blue at least, I can try working on the others too if anyone has a specific color they want to see!

I think that you hit the nail on the head although, I do take issue with the word gaudy. IMO, the functioning aero packages set the Blackwings apart from their more mundane brethren. I’m not aiming for elegant.

A good way of putting it. The same way that you don't NEED 470+ HP in a sedan, you also don't NEED factory installed aero for downforce, but that's kind of the point isn't it? I want to drive something around that has that capability, even if I'll probably never be skilled enough to fully utilize it on the track. Most non-car people won't even notice the aero I would bet.

I got it for two reasons, liked the way it looked, and will probably be impossible to get after the fact. Probably the only car of this caliber I will ever own, so I had to make it worth it :)

I ordered my 5 with both CF packages...why the heck not it'll make the car more desirable if and when you ever sell it and for quality carbon its not terribly over priced IMO. I also wouldn't buy stuff like C7 Carbon parts either...I would stick with Anderson Composites due to their quality control and customer service so that shows you what price point my head is at for aftermarket carbon components.

No offense meant... perhaps I should have said "they dont look as good to me as the standard options" Regardless, the replies exhibit my point... everyone has their preferences and should get what they like.
None taken at all! Honestly it was a really hard choice for me to make, I slightly prefer the look without the carbon fiber to be honest, but I think no matter what combination of options anyone gets, it will be an awesome looking car regardless! I just barely tipped towards the carbon fiber in the end for reasons I said above, but I take no offense for anyone having their own preference.

I’m getting both CF and interior jet black leather, semi-aniline with code HMR to make sure I get the carbon fiber seatbacks.

Ordered both CF packages, as well as the upgraded interior with Carbon backs

I don't see you on the list. Have you turned your order # into Rob to get added?
