Hi.

Hopeful future owner of a Blackwing here. I would have to buy used tho. Can’t afford a 100k car.

I work in the natural gas field. I make about $115k a year, I calculate that I can afford one once they dip into the low 80’s or 70’s.

Just wondering what the demographics are for Blackwing owners.

Retired after 28 years 8 months and 13 days of being a cop. First 11 years in NYC Transit/NYPD and then 17 years in my hometown Village that paid way better than NYPD. My 2022 CT5-V BW was my retirement gift to myself. I believe I earned it.

Lol. Love the picture.

Operations Manager for logistics/moving company.

Electrical engineer. I design and build "the cloud." Pretty good gig nowadays, I made the right call to go in that direction in 2008, before it was obvious.

Retired telephone company broadband maintenance engineer.

VP Global Services and Engineer for a global engineered equipment manufacturer

My signature block says this, but I'll resay it now.
Retired fighter pilot - USAF.
Retired technical writer for the FAA.
42-years total service to the US Government.
I also tried writing mystery novels. I have 5 on Amazon but nobody is buying them so I'm not making any money from that!

Like Tuna I'm a retired Fed - in my case 34 1/2 years mostly as a DOD civilian and I retired over 10 years ago at 53. For the last 20-25 years of employment I worked primarily in direct support of the J-3 (operations) doing operational assessments (think wargames) and certification (of 3 & 4 star generals and their battlestaffs & operations teams). I also wrote policy and developed high level requirements and operational plans (for the Chairman JCS). Additionally, for several years I served directly on the Chairman's (wartime) battlestaff and used to refer to myself as America's #1 official assassin. I'm likely the only pure civilian (non-reservist at the very least) to have served that role (not my actual job title BTW). So yeah....now I own and drive a Blackwing.

Small business owner. Two kids in college, so retirement is not yet in the discussion.

I've been pulling my hair out trying to get folks to care about cybersecurity both in uniform and as a fed. Most people say they care until you hit them with what it really requires then they don't want to talk to you anymore.

I feel your pain. I was concerned with EMP threats back in the day which often elicited similar response. And while I was not a Cyber guy by any means I wrote some very specific Cyber protection requirements very early on (1990s) that probably led to (perhaps) billions in spending over the last few decades - likely not on Cyber alone (and it probably wasn't even called that at the time) but in the overall system protection. I used to be involved with a lot of very important stuff in my career and was honored to have the responsibilities. But I have to say as rewarding as it was it doesn't beat retirement (or necessarily even driving fast carts)

Retired from the Navy after 24yrs as an IT.
Now doing Cyber as a contractor for the government
It's funny how similar the civilian sector is to the military when it comes to dealing with people in decision making positions. It's like I never left lol.
