Interesting.
I went though the whole build configuration tool on cadillac.com and could find no mention of it.
I guess I was mistaken.

Here's what's weird. 2025's have RPO MCR as above and it lists RPO UV2 HD surround vision, but it doesn't list RPO XVR Surround Vision Recorder, as it does for prior years.

So my guess is, they have a SD slot that works with the radio to play songs? HD surround vision is for the cameras for parking. But no XVR, so the recording function has been removed. The owners manual still talks about SVR, "if so equipped". I guess we haven't updated that yet.

Stopped by my dealer to pick up some parts and I talked to my sales guy and new car manager. They were stunned that they decontented the surround view recorder. They knew about the volume knob for the manuals and weren’t sure about the blind spot for them. They were even confused by the ordering guide when it came to that until they saw it in person. They still are confused by whatever the enhanced thing is supposed to be. They are not happy about it either because they know GM doesn’t listen to them when they pass on customer complaints, but they certainly get the brunt of it.

FWIW, they are finding me a contact in GM so I can give them my .02 cents that won’t listen to…..

Guys, it’s there. I can’t get it to work. Just say hey google open recorder and there is the screen… people are saying it may need an OTA software update to make it work.

Yeah - I mentioned that it my post.

Nobody can seem to get it to work. Looks like it may need a USB flash drive rather than SD card. Will try it when I get mine.
