Subwoofer Install

The wiring diagram at the start of the thread (which I believe was stated to be CT5) is the same as this for the CT4, and shows the ANC connections.

There's a mention in another thread that the 4BW doesn't have ANC. Not sure if it's valid.

I think the discussion you linked was about fake engine noise being used, not ANC. When we toured Corsa I asked how their exhaust worked with ANC, and they did say that ANC would not be as effective because it had different tones than stock. That was specifically discussing the 4 BW.

Makes sense. Either way, it sounds like disabling it is the best option.

I ran new ground to body and direct to battery. No change for me as for as the sound goes. It sounds like it is the pumped in sound and not ground noise though. When I turn gains down it is greatly reduced. Here’s what I have with a 12 inch sub. I’m at a loss at this point on what is going on

It looks like the harness might be the best option. Where did you tap into for high level audio?

I wish I could help, but I don't have the car yet. I have been researching the setup. It looks like there could be 3 options.
  1. Depin the ANC microphones (hard to find the tool).
  2. Check with LLJ customs to see if one of their bypass harnesses will work with the 4BW (probably the easiest).
  3. Possibly connect to the low level inputs that go into the amp. This is before the amp does any processing of ANC noise. Not sure if this actually works, just saw the suggestion on another forum.

I will give it a try. I can’t believe I’m the only one having this issue. Thanks for the troubleshooting tips.

Removed pin #3 so far, had to cut as could not get it to depin, and left other 2 intact with a few test drives ANC feedback in subs seems to be resolved.
If it any louder in cabin I can not really tell.
No one likes road noise but I don't mind exhaust, engine, SC noise at all so not a big deal to me. Every car before this that had a V8 (truck or Camaro) I actively tried to make those sounds louder any how.

Any idea what the 3 different mics control? Are they just different locations?

From what I understand yes, 2 in the front and 1 towards the rear. I have nothing to point too as hard fact on that its just what I have read and believe to be the case.

I don't know for sure which of the 3 wires goes to which mic. I just decided to start with #3 and see with the plan of doing all 3 if necessary.
