CT5-V I’m Back! Picked Up A 2025 MT CT5V BW

CT5-V Model
Car doesn’t like the MN cold snowy air.
The thing was born in Michigan, guess I thought it would be tougher than that. 😉

Actually, reading the error code was something about a heating element in the O2 sensor that possibly isn’t working, so you could be right.

I’m sure not many BWs are driven in single digit weather. Wouldn’t surprise me if there is some type of odd thing we don’t know about.

Yah dunno, I’m sure GM still did their usual cold testing on them. An O2 sensor going bad definitely isn’t unheard of, but you could be right. Who knows, would be nice to start it when it gets warmer and it clears on its own. Like most, I have no desire to go to the dealership service center and the adventures that usually follow.

I got my oil changed at key and there apparently is one master mechanic that is very good. While he was doing my oil, he came in while I was buying diff fluid to swap out. He looked at me and said good, at least someone is doing proper maintenance on the BW. Ha!

Good to know there is at least one really good one there! Hopefully he gets all the BWs when they come in.

Congrats, love the setup.

We need more pics 😁

How are you liking the size difference over the 4? That was my biggest concern about getting a 5.

Mine to and originally why I went for the 4. I only have 280 miles on it and most of those are on winter tires. I don’t have enough time in it yet for a great comparison. Initial impressions are really good though. It doesn’t feel much bigger than I thought it was going to. Same with the weight difference, I’m pleasantly surprised that I don’t feel that hardly at all. But again, I won’t really know until I get the PS4Ss back on this spring and hit some of my favorite back roads.

It is and it was! Just built a square Vredstein set on Tire Rack. Will be getting them on the car ASAP.

I bought my previous 4VBW from them as well, really great group of people to work with.
Please report back on the performance of your Vredstein set? As much as I loathe the idea of winter driving my ‘wing on Ontario’s salty roads, I really miss driving the beast, so am looking for options…

I actually got talked out of them and went with the PA5s, which are hard to go wrong with.

I used to be a fleet manager and we’d rarely wash our Fusions, Siennas, Promasters, Sprinters and Camrys. Never saw even a rust spot on any of them after the 7-8 years plus 200-300k miles on them. I figure I wash mine properly/take carer of it, I’ll never have the issue. If I do, jokes on me and I’ll get it fixed. But, I’m not depriving myself of driving it when or how I want to. I know it’s a very personal decision for everyone, just my two cents.

275/35R19 all around? New rims as well I assume.

No kidding!

I got mine from Key Cadillac as well. They were a great experience to buy from, and did all the PPF and shipping arrangements.
