How long do you wait after starting the car to move it off?

It was 0 in Chicago today and the 4BW takes an astronomically long time to get to ideal operating temps. It’s gotta be the slowest motor on earth to warm up lol. In anything under 30 degrees it takes 15 mins of easy driving to get in the damn 100 plus temp range.

The downside of a track-ready cooling system.

Gotta cover that front grill, I guess. Just like all the school buses when I was a kid.

If I'm not letting the car sit to warm up, I usually give it a good 20-30 seconds to build oil pressure.
Ease through the neighborhood, and then don't get over 3500 RPM or so until it gets to about 150 degrees. No WOT until it gets to 180.

That takes 15-20 mins to get it to 150 degrees in this Chicago winter. It’s insane. Not even exaggerating either. My ATS V was the same way but I was hoping maybe they added something to these that would get them to temp quicker lol.

Yeah, other than the recent snowfall, when the weather gets below 40 degrees or so, I drive my truck instead.

I don't have a lot of experience with genuinely cold winters.
