2025 CT5-V
New member just picked up a new 2025 CT5-V Black Raven first one the dealer has sold. So far love the car. Had an ATS back in 2013.

One thing I noticed was in the trunk was a plastic bag of 4 plastic pieces 2 long ones 2 short ones that at first thought they were optional for racing like for brake cooling. However the 2 short ones which showed being installed in front of the rear tires need to be installed because they include 4 screws used to secure the wheel well liner because from the factory they come missing and the liner is not secure. I also went ahead and installed the front ones so just an FYI.

Another question I am looking for splash guards and the ones I have been finding are for non-V cars so can anyone recommend any that fit our V cars?

Congrats and welcome!

Not sure what pieces you’re referring too, at first I thought you meant the CCB covers for when you’re un/mounting the wheels to avoid clipping the carbon rotors but the screw thing is throwing me off.

Thanks! So I took a picture of the bag and circle the piece that needs screws.

Those aero pieces are not on my 23’ 5BW, I guess the 5V’s have some different aero pieces underneath, maybe the dealership forgot to install those during the PDI?

Yes I agree I believe they either didn't understand these needed to be put on or forgot. I asked my sales guy and he's the one that said I should install them and that's when I noticed the missing screws.

Since I just picked up my 2025 CT5-V, black raven as well, I will need to check the trunk. I did not notice anything like your picture, but there were some parts there...wheel lock key, gas filler and some other misc stuff.
Thanks for the heads up.
Good luck with the car and congrats!!! I am loving mine so far (after 2 days 😂)

Congrats as well! Funny have owned mine a whooping 4 days. :)

I would look in front of your rear tires and see if there is a black plastic piece hanging down you can't miss it if so you are all set.

Isn't that the cooling ducts for your brakes that they suggest you only use on the track because on road they will pick up gravel and introduce it to your rotors?

That was my thought as well but no where on the plastic bag that shows the directions to install them does it say that. Also why are all the screws missing for the 2 pieces that mount in front of the rear wheels from the factory? More research is needed.....

See p. 178 of your owner's manual. The deflectors are track-only. They should be installed prior to going to the track and removed afterward.

Ok so I looked at page 178 and it says "BrakeCooling(V-SeriesBlackwing)" I don't have a BW and when I watched the video on installing the BW deflectors these are far bigger then mine. And again why would the factory leave out all these screws that secure the wheel well cover?

See your dealer for the screws. As for the deflectors, you might want to see if your dealer has any intel on those as well.

Your PDI guy ran off with the screws, apparently. Those deflectors are standard fare on the 5V non BW and should have been put on during PDI. The PN for the screws are in the pic you posted.

I have the screws the plastic bag that had the deflector pieces in it had screws with it. The factory shipped the car with no screws. If you look at the install pictures it shows that you only insert screws not to remove any like the front ones.

See my circle:

Ok, so you are saying there are no screws currently where the deflectors are supposed to go, right (because the deflectors were supposed to be added at the dealer)?. So, put them on or have the dealer do it.

Does the new cars also come with the metal "tomahawks" (air deflectors) that are for the brakes when racing. I had to go back and ask for mine, because the prep guys tend to take them out and not put them back in the trunk when the car is done.

I'm saying there "were" no screws where the "rear" deflectors go. I already installed the rear deflectors myself on my car so I'm all set. The point of my post was to give others who are picking up these cars to check theirs for missing screws and or deflectors. The unknown issue is are the dealers suppose to install these deflectors or not? I'm heading to the dealer today to check some other CT5-V's and talk further with service.

No my car did not come with these "tomahawks" air deflectors just these 4 plastic pieces.

Yes, the dealer was in fact supposed to install those. That was a PDI failure.

Because your car is not a BW. :)

Yup agree just came back from the dealer they have 2 other CT5's one a non-V both are missing the screws for the rear wheel well liners. So anyone buying a CT5 should check that these deflectors are installed by the dealer.
