What do you mean by upgrading to CF1? Like you got all the bumper reinforcements and everything or replaced your front bumper?

From what I understand there is a pretty big difference in front bumper rigidity for CF1 equipped CT4s.
Yes, I upgraded to the CF front splitter, dive planes, and rear spoiler. I used the Tapout rear spoiler which is identical to the OEM, but I used the OEM nose parts. Originally I ordered the front bumper cover with the dive plane reinforcements, but the body shop paint didn't match the car so I swapped the reinforcements over to the original bumper cover and cut the slots myself. I have it all documented here: Carbon fiber PN database.

Carbon fiber PN database. plus several posts below that covering the eventual post 75683.

Also some tips for the rear spoiler here: Carbon fiber PN database.

I ended up spending more than I needed to had I known more at the start. In particular, I could have saved money by using the dive plane bumper for parts for the original bumper, and I also had the nose re-ppf'ed before I changed my mind to use the original bumper cover.

Price list that I paid for everything (not including the redundant ppf and body shop paint of the replacement bumper cover):

GM Parts

Part Number Part Name Price Quantity Total
84667808 Air Deflector $7.46 1 $7.46 (plastic underbody vents for the front brakes}

That is super helpful. I need to read thru your thread, but this does make me want to consider doing the work.

For the rear spoiler I know that currently GM wants around $4000 and Tapout $1400ish. My dealer would give me a decent price but doubt that would get me down to $1400. It was one piece I thought really made an aesthetic difference I'd notice a lot. But I want to wait and see what I think of the car's looks when I take delivery. I already have a bunch of little things from Savage cadillac.

I wonder how much more these prices are today. Might be a fun project to do.

I'm not sure what you mean by upgraded seats and carbon fiber... Are you talking about the CT5 blackwings? if so I have no knowledge of those, but I have been led to believe cadillac produces a lot more CT5 BWs than CT4 BWs.

my CT4 BW order has the high performance seats, but on the CT4 its swede and not carbon fiber. I'm pretty sure you can get a discount by doing a carbon back deletion on the CT5 BW which would probably allow for future upgrade if it was holding up an ability to order.
If you want to burn up $3k, TapOut will sell you the carbon fiber seat backs for your CT4

Ahhh, didn't realize the high performance seats on the 4BW didn't have the CF backs. Yes, my order is for a 5BW.
