2025 Surround Vision Recorder switched to USB?

I picked up 25 CT5 over the weekend as I could swear that blind spot monitoring was working as i recall getting startled by the buzzing seat when changing lanes when I left the dealership. Will have to check it again.

As for surround recording, haven't found anything about it but would like to know if anybody has figured it out yet.

I think the buzzing seat is for front collision alert?
The buzzing seat is an option that you can choose or disable for changing lanes without using a turn signal. It thinks you're not paying attention and departing the lane.

It's wild how the SVR/360 camera view allows you to use it while driving but still no way to record. I haven't had the chance to dig around in mine yet to see if there's any ports or etc.

Yes, you are correct it was lane assistance buzzing. I disabled it.

Drove to dealer just now and noticed that there is no blind side monitoring ... SERIOUSLY WTF!

Congrats on your 5! Are you the guy who custom ordered a killer spec on a 22 or maybe it was a 23, waited the whole time, and then passed when it arrived? Maybe I'm thinking of someone else.

Thank you.

Yes, that was me. Waited for over a year and then bought Durango Hellcat instead. Sold that and was driving a TRX for last two years.

There are a bunch of options that require the A10 transmission:
UKIBlind Zone Steering Assist
UKTFront Pedestrian and Bicyclist Braking
UOWSide Bicyclist Alert
CTBIntersection Automatic Emergency Braking
UFBRear Cross Traffic Braking
I suspect it's because they are now part of supercruise which is standard for the A10 (and not available for the M6).

Also it looks like blind side monitoring became blind zone steering assist.

It almost feels like Cadillac is punishing people who buy M6 :(

I have almost all of that on a 25 4BW but we don't have super cruise as an option.

Given that:

I think there is evidence that supercruise changed for 2025 and some features that were previous implemented outside supercruise got merged into supercruise.

It's really weird to see the little man icon of a pedestrian on your display screen. First time mine did it I was what?? then I saw some nimrod jump right out in front of me to cross the street. So, it works, but once it thought a fire hydrant was a pedestrian too.

I thought most if not all of that comes along with the parking package.

Some people are built like that. :D

For 2025 at least, the Y6L parking package includes the K6L air filter, USK air quality sensor, DRZ rear camera milrror, and the TL3 hands-free decklid release (which is deleted if you have the CF 2 package).
I’ll have to play around with it when I get it out of the Detail/PPF place on Monday. I hadn’t even driven it 40 miles before bringing it in to be wrapped up. I’m half sure that I have the surround vision too.

I see now that the M6 gets a new option for 2025, UKM "Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning, enhanced"

There is a hack to use it by inserting a USB flash drive and then calling up the surround recording via voice command.

…and the air filter is new. It used to be an ionizer, but none of the cars have that an an option anymore either.

TenTonTony previously posted that this will not work:
"the SVR application is installed, and can be opened by asking the Google Assistant to open the "Surround Vision" app, but it will only display a screen telling you that it needs a minimum 64GB USB drive, with the proper formatting, and nothing else on it.
If you insert a blank flash drive that meets these criteria, the Android Auto OS on the car automatically creates a few directories on it, which seems to "break" the requirement for it to be an unused drive."

Seems like there is a lot of bugs in the new Google OS infotainment system. Shockingly the issue with SVR is not one of them

Makes sense - seems that this feature will never work.

There is a vague comment about it being replaced under a new name in a later OTA update but could be BS.

Based on this video, there is a good possibility that SVR will be replaced with a new feature that will require a monthly subscription once we get an OTA update -

Seems to only save recordings to the "cloud" based on the video
