2022 CT5 BW waiting....
Unreal they are 20k more starting for 10spd and slightly less for 6m vs 2022's total joke!

Inflation, wars, part shortages are a real thing. My fridge blew out and while shopping for a new one found out there are component shortages in part caused by the wars. I don’t think in my lifetime I’ll ever see anything back to pre-Covid times.

I’m at the two year anniversary of my 5BW and glad I got it when I did.

None of this is new or out worldly but more or less the same excuses piled upon excuses and regurgitated to the sheep. Tune in, Turn on and drop out which has totally different connotation today......

By my math, isn't it more like $15k for auto and $12k for manual vs. 2022? Roughly 15% inflation over 3 years is significant, but IMO they were underpriced to begin with. $85k MSRP for a base manual in '22 was a steal.

Resale price on the secondary market? Things that make you go hmmm? 76k offer for a 22 5BW well dressed is an insult. Or...a steal?

An editorial.

Happy 4th Folks!

Well, honestly I was worried about the price increase from '24 to '25 with the new dash screen and facelift. But only $2,100 for the manual. i'm okay with this as long as they don't go crazy with increases on options like carbon fiber...etc.

They have gone crazy with options? You guys get these without DFC charge?

My book has dang near 20k and we haven't even started on the 'Options' lol.......140k here you go boys!

$20k increase for the IMAX MMI or were there other upgrades made? At $140 I’d just nut up and go Z06…

When I priced the same equipment 23 vs. my 22 5BW it was around $12K more. Haven’t tried to price a 24 or 25.

$8k MSRP increase between MY22 and MY23 was brutal but MY22 was greatly underpriced to begin with. If one considers the price increase between MY23 and MY25, its in line with the market.

On comparison, MY25 5BW MSRP isnt terrible when compared with the M5. Base M5 price is around $18k more than the 5BW.

I just did a build that matches my 2022 5BW A10 which I fully optioned (CCB, CF1, CF2, Full Semi-Aniline Seats w. CF backs, PDR, sunroof, and more). The sticker came in at $138.5k where mine stickered at $120k.

I have the Parking Package and the '25 build forced me to add Supercruise to have that. So it unfairly adds $2.5k that I couldn't get around. So had I been able to remove the supercruise and still get Parking Pkg, effectively it's an increase of $16k (13.3%) from 2022 to 2025 for a fully loaded 5BW A10. With supercruise, it's an increase of $18.5k (15.4%).

Think I'll crack open the good stuff today to celebrate the 4th as well as my cost avoidance skills (read as, hasty purchasing decisions). 🤣

Cheers all and Happy 4th of July. 🍻🍷🍹:drink

When allocation came through for my 22 the dealer said I could get it if a dropped CF1 and CF2. I really wanted the CF1/2, but I also had a bad feeling the price of the 23 was going to go up significantly and it did. Not only did the base go up, but each CF package did as well. Considering there were no other major changes to the car I just dropped the CF. Best decision I ever made looking at the price increase over each year.

The 2022s were priced so good it could be called a bargain. They were barely more expensive than the outgoing CTS-V 3 years prior.

The large increase in 2023 made sense and everything after that has been normal for inflation.

I think the 2025 increase is quite modest considering its a refresh and I think its the smallest price increase yet?

Every car has gone up in price from what they cost 3 years ago. Go look at what Escalades and Corvette's used to cost and what they go for now.

I had to do the same, had to drop CF backed seats as well on my 22...was able to get the CF pieces later in 22 at a reasonable price but missed out on the CF backed seats.

Which means it is entirety keeping with inflation.
The 2022 BWs were released in 2021.

From 2021 to 2024 the inflation rate was 15.9%
