Blackwing Constraints Tracker

Wow. My order was originally accepted at my dealer (northern VA) on November 26, 2022. My allocation finally arrived February 20th, 2025 (27 months later). 5V BW manual with both CF packages and semi-aniline seats. I didn't originally want the CF packages, but wanted the seats. I had an opportunity for an allocation on Feb 9th 2024, but without the upgraded seats - so I passed. When the dealer said I could have the CF packages on this allocation, I went for it.

Now, the wait continues.... Dealer estimates 3 to 4 months until delivery. Optimistic?

Pete
It can't be too long, the production year is almost over. Hopefully the shipping situation is ironed out. My car is only slightly ahead of yours in the Goat Rodeo.

I can't believe you stayed at the same dealer and waited over 2 years for an allocation!

It's getting close to the end of the production year for 2025. I think it's done in April. Hopefully you get an allocation and TPW quickly otherwise you're waiting until the 2026 model year if it happens.
Seems unlikely I will have to wait for a 2026. Cadillac still has to produce the petit pataud edition which they haven't yet. Special edition for 2025 (coming late 2025 according to Cadillac website).
But I might not see a car until June which would be disappointing. Hoping to see one sooner than that.

I saw a CT4 Petit Pataud pop up for sale on my nationwide drip through Autotrader/Cars.com/Cargurus, but its already gone.

I've seen some dealers sell the unit they have an allocation for, but to my knowledge none have been built yet. Did you see a real photo or just virtual pic?

I was offered the CT5 Le Monstre allocation from a dealer back in (I think) october, but its way out of my price range. I also believe there are some customization that could be done like sunroof or not, but since I did not accept that offer I might be misunderstanding what the dealer said.

Ah, that must have been it. It was virtual.

I recall reading that 2026 production starts in early June with orders opening May 1. This is for non-V. If it is like 2025, the V and BW production will be sometime later. But who knows.

I am lucky my car just went to 3100 status. Waiting for TPW but expecting a couple of weeks.

Edit: updated with correct 2026 production dates and link

Frankly I wouldn't have been worried on whether or not I would get a 2025 if it wasn't for all this potential tariffs stuff. I could see cadillac saying the CT4 BW is not worth producing if they're going to have to significant tariff fees on a lot of the components.

No doubt. Here is the breakdown from my 2024. Definitely some tariff impact there.

I was looking at this last week.
  • The window sticker percentages only totals 74%
  • The percentages are some how the same for the auto and manual
The 10L80 10 speed automatic is built in Romulus, Michigan.
The TR-6060 6 speed manual is built in Querétaro, Mexico.

I flew into Queretaro a few years ago on a company trip. Driving along and bam, there is Tremec! Nobody else in the car really cared.

Well today was my lucky day.

I had to change my order to remove the CF1 and CF2, but no other changes and in the end I think I’m getting a car better suited for my needs. I’m going to be daily driving my car so easier to clean the front bumper and better approach angles with speed bumps and parking lots (my brain convincing my heart it’s wrong). I also saved a ton of money which is always a good thing.

Currently Carbon packages are out of stock now. My dealer thought if I didn’t remove the carbon packages I would probably be waiting on a 2026 model.

While killing time yesterday seeing what CT4 Blackwings were listed on the Cadillac site available or in transit, there were about 4 CT4 Petit Pataud listed - $95k avg and one or two dealers with a $10k ADM on top of that $95k....ouch!!!! No actual dealer photos and no interior photos that I could find on each of those listings.

Did they mention if that includes the upgraded seats? That's the only extra carbon on my dealer order and I'm dead set on getting it. Won't necessarily mind if I have to wait for 2026.

There are still dealers trying for markups? Find another.

As one who didn't have CF1, but upgraded to it, it's not as prone to damage as you might think. The CF splitter doesn't extend lower than the underbody plastic directly behind it, so that's the part that will scrape on speed bumps. The CF does extend out further, so you would have to be concerned with parking blocks and curbing. It's also an issue with extreme grade changes. Before I had my steep driveway modified at the street interface, I scraped both sides of my non-CF splitters even using an angled entry. After the driveway was improved, I upgraded to CF1 and I've had no issues. So far, I've been very happy with the CF splitter and haven't had any problems I wouldn't have with the non-CF splitter. Of course, one mistake and it can be a pricey fix. But so can scraping a non-CF nose against a concrete curb.

What do you mean by upgrading to CF1? Like you got all the bumper reinforcements and everything or replaced your front bumper?

From what I understand there is a pretty big difference in front bumper rigidity for CF1 equipped CT4s.

I'm not sure what you mean by upgraded seats and carbon fiber... Are you talking about the CT5 blackwings? if so I have no knowledge of those, but I have been led to believe cadillac produces a lot more CT5 BWs than CT4 BWs.

my CT4 BW order has the high performance seats, but on the CT4 its swede and not carbon fiber. I'm pretty sure you can get a discount by doing a carbon back deletion on the CT5 BW which would probably allow for future upgrade if it was holding up an ability to order.
