First off, before I point out my let downs, please noted that I already posted why I think that the CT4V-BW is a better overall vehicle and why I like it better than my old M2 Comp. I continue to stand by my initial assessment after driving the CT4V-BW for 10 months.
Nevertheless, below is a list of my disappointments:
(1) Interior in general and dashboard in specific. I purchased the upgraded seats, so these are great. In my opinion, the dashboard is weak for an $80K car. The leather and suede on the Chevy SS dash is much nicer for a $50K.
But hey, at least I got ApplePlay, at least for now. While on that topic, when there is no Apple Carplay available from Cadillac, is when I go back to buying BMW. That is a show-stopper for me.
(2) Door panels. Again, they should have been better given the price point.
(3) The CT4V-BW should have had options for selectable color ambient interior lighting.
(4) Engine Bay dressing. Reference my post on that topic.
(5) I REALLY miss the manual hand brake for the 6MT versus the M2 Comp
(6) I don't like the brake-by-wire system in general. At a minimum, Cadillac should have added monitoring displays so that those that are tracking their car have better information as to what is happening with the brake system during a track session.
(7) Likewise, the tire pressure is available for display but NOT the tire temp. I think this is critical information when you are tracking the car. A general display for all the tires of Cool or Warm does not cut it, especially since the information is already being captured. It is available on the PDR playback on Cosworth Toolbox.
(8) It would be great if the main screen had a configurable "track mode display". This would allow displaying of all the relevant information that is being captured but that cannot all be displayed in the DIC display at the same time.
(9) Maintenance cost of tracking this vehicle comparable to a BMW M2. I just used up the front left tire again after 2 track days.
