What "don't" you like about your BW"?

I have a manual, and I hate that there is no back button for the infotainment system. Would make navigation a lot easier.

Interesting, thanks for the feedback. I've been trying to more 'gently' shift into neutral and have seen that make a difference and not cause a blip. I was theorizing that multiple factors such as RPM and maybe even some sort of shifting sensor in the linkage may make the car think you're doing an aggressive downshift vs just going to neutral.
This is my third manual GM vehicle with the rev match and being "gentle" without doing the neutral wiggle is the best way. Also let the RPMs come down a bit. In my ZL1 I end up turning off the rev match when I know it's going to misbehave, but the rev match button is the paddle shifter so it's a lot easier than it is on the BW. With the BW I've been heel/toeing for the most part, but I do like the rev match when I'm feeling lazy, not 100% engaged on driving or wearing boots.

Side note - the BW / ZL1 combo seems to be pretty popular around here.

I know this is going against the grain…but when I pick stealth “engine noise”, I would like a quiet cold start to sneak out of the house early in the morning without waking up the family.

Now it starts up like an angry race car, then quiets itself down into stealth mode after about 5-10 seconds. Not helpful at 5AM…

I haven’t found a way around this.

Turn the car on without starting the engine - on my manual it’s just pressing the start button for 5 seconds. Then adjust the mode to your quiet setting, push the clutch / brake and start her up. It just makes the startup process a bit longer. The valves open up when the car turns off as a precaution to keep them from being stuck shut.

I will have to try this out next time it’s early in the morning. Thanks for the tip.

My kind of GM combo!

My other car isn't a ZL1, but it is a '92 B4C/1LE I bought new. It has 56k miles now. Still going along with the Camaro/Cadillac theme.

Now I've been driving mine more, I'd have to say:
  • Backseat leg room is tiny, worse than my Focus ST.
  • Recessed seatbelts - it is an absolute nightmare trying to buckle my 5-year old in. I bought a silicone buckle booster to raise it up, but it is still super awkward.
  • Center console lid is tricky to open when driving due to its size/position.
  • Zero padding on arm rests and center console lid.
  • Rock-hard plastic on lower door panels.
  • The front floor pan dip is causing my left heel to slowly erode the carpeted mat.
  • Integrated mirror turn signals shit me up sometimes as I mistake them for the blind spot monitor going off.
With that said, this is by far and away the most exhilarating and exciting vehicle I've driven and I bloody love it!

Even though the engine is bigger (3.6 vs 2.9), the Alfa Romeo Guilia Quadrifoglio sounds WAAYYYYY better from the factory.

It's frustrating that they A) chose the exact same indicator color as the turn signal, and B) don't have an audible warning. The system is there but is just about useless IMO, and these changes would cost virtually nothing. My wife's 2-generation-old C-class has an audible warning AND the indicator turns red if there's someone in your path.

I rely on the audible warning from the car that I just cut off.

Agree on the mirrors. Further, (on the 4) there is a chrome trim piece on the dash left of the steering wheel. It’s about 4-5 inches long. That piece reflects the sun and kinda projects itself onto the driver’s side window directly in the visual path to the rear view mirror. This causes me to almost always have a silver glare over the most useful portion of the mirror. I plan to get that trim piece wrapped in a matte black material.

Driving mode indication it would be nice to have an indication in dash ,which mode were in ,touring ,sport, track etc

I wish we could order the performance seats in other colors besides black ,I also have a CT5-V and have tan leather seat and door panels without the race seats ,seems like it should be easy as the seat cushion looks the same ,

I only wish that they had put a sunglass holder up in the overhead. Also, not a fan of the battery going down after being parked for a while.
To everyone it doesn't matter what we say GM will never listin to our recommendations, it's just there culture ,

There is an indicator - foremost, by the default dahsboard graphics. But if you change the defaults up, there's still a little icon indicating sport mode (a checkered flag) or My Mode (like a dude with a steering wheel I think) or V mode (a V). There's probably something for track mode but I haven't spent enough time there to know what it is.
