What did you do to your Blackwing today?

IIRC my rotofab intake I installed on my SS was an oiled filter. Something about the non oiled would throw the MAF out of whack..
I added some green filters last week in my BW4 and actually wiped quite a bit of residual oil along the rubber edge prior to installing.
 
Gyeon Sychro applied to paint and wheels. Glass coated with Gyeon View. Tires coated with CarPro Darkside. Really happy with the results. Maintenance washes going forward will be a breeze!

Got it home to Texas from the dealer in Mississippi. Prepared and ready for ceramic coating.

Had to bring it into the dealer for a CEL P0420. after running the required troublshooting steps, GM said to replace the catalytic converter (5800 mi).
Sure why not its under warrenty but really?
With the UAW strike now expanded to parts who knows when the part will come in.
Im done driving it for the season for the most part but a bit surprised how a Cat can have issues so early. I only run quality 93 octane fuel.

Anyone else heard of this?

The car has less than 20,000 miles on it. Had one catalytic converter replaced and am waiting for parts to have two more replaced. They claim that the first one was defective and the second pair just needs to be broken in (?) and everything will be fine. They have an incentive to find the cause. By law, they replace all catalytic converters at their expense.

It would be good to hear if this is a systematic problem. Dealer claims this is rare.
 
Do they still track information? MyCadillac app still thinks my car has 4 miles on it.
Unsure what data gets stored in memory. That is available for access if one has physical contact with the car. However, all external communication via cell network or otherwise is killed by the disconnection of onstar. IMHO, the engineers got lazy and did not to create their own communications module and decided to use Onstar.

My bank 1 catalytic converter was replaced ~16k miles. Plugged. ~100 miles after that I had bank 1 spark plugs replaced due to misfire codes. I've since driven ~1200 miles including a track day and all is well. I do worry there'll be another cat or plug failure in my future b/c nothing else was changed.
 
I installed my "supercharged" emblems that I got from Amazon. I am waiting for some carbon fiber pieces for the interior door handles and cup holder to arrive from China. I will see how well they are made and post photos if they look good.

I have 209 miles on it so far. Already looking at another Porsche 🥵 Im an idiot sometimes.
It's ok. I did something similar. Owned mine for a year and then switched over to a 911. I absolutely love the CT5VBW and if I needed the 4 doors I'd still have it.
But honestly I get more out of the 911 than the BW. I can utilize more of the cars performance without going straight to jail. lol
