After all DRAMA, The CT5-V Blackwing and all six of its gears is home.
Acquiring this car was a fiasco. Admittedly I had not been following it much until my buddy Alex (thanks bro) told me he was not going to end up buying the one he ordered. I have never owned a GM product but was always intrigued by the older V's. Did a little research on this one and decided what the hell.
Papa Smurf here was built back in November and sat around GM for months. The lack of communication from GM and virtually impossible tracking was incredibly frustrating. My contact Ji at Portland Cadillac was great to work with though and kept me apprised. Even he was in shock to hear the car was arriving after months of waiting.
I have owned some other fast cars and this one does not disappoint. Driving experience is great, but the car still needs a little aggression for my tastes. However, I do acknowledge Cadillac is building a luxury sports sedan. I’ve got some plans in the works to develop the carbon package front splitter, rear spoiler and wickers. As well as having some fun designing wheel fitments. I will be 3D scanning a bunch of the car this weekend. More on this later....
I commend Cadillac for making a luxury sports car that is totally livable. Maybe you all can help me make some bad (good) decisions. I appreciate all the information I have learned from many of your already and look forward to being part of the community for a few. I planned to have more time with this car to develop parts, but with other cars coming I will have to enjoy the Blackwing while I can before letting it go.
