V-Series Cadillac(s)?
Not Yet!

All 250 2022 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing and 250 2022 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing models have been reserved

Last night, Cadillac took the wraps off the all new 2022 Cadillac CT4-V and CT5-V Blackwing models in a first-ever online event.

Cadillac released a "Reserve Yours" page just after the official reveal, where customers were able to reserve one of the first 250 CT4-V Blackwings or 250 CT5-V Blackwings built.

Given their limited quantity and collectible nature, all V-Series Blackwing vehicles are Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) sequenced by year, model and transmission. A portion of the VIN sequence is commemorated on a unique serialized plate located at the bottom of the available high-performance steering wheel.

All "Reserve Yours" customers will receive this high-performance steering wheel and serial number plate.

Additionally, included in the purchase of a CT4-V Blackwing or CT5-V Blackwing, customers will receive a two-day experience at Cadillac’s V-Series Academy driving school at the Spring Mountain Raceway in Nevada.

Just before midnight last night, all 250 CT5-V Blackwing reservations were spoken for followed shortly after by all 250 CT4-V Blackwings.

The CT5-V Blackwing will be the most powerful and fastest Cadillac ever. Descended from the brand’s racing legacy, this vehicle elevates V-Series’ heritage of performance, styling and meticulous refinement.

From Cadillac:

We understand that the demand superseded the supply of reservation units tonight. Although not every customer could be allocated one of the first 250 CT4 & 250 CT5 V Blackwings, there are potential opportunities for prospective customers to reserve a MY22 Blackwing through the Waitlist.
Waitlist customer names will come into Cadillac dealers as official leads, and will be eligible to purchase V Blackwings through the normal dealer allocation ordering process.

All MY22 Blackwing units will then continue the unique serialization code cadence, presciently commenced by the first 500 V Blackwings in the reservation program. All MY22 V Blackwings will tout a performance steering wheel and serial plate, with a specific production number. Moreover, all V-Series Blackwing customers are eligible for the Spring Mountain drive experience.

If you weren't able to grab one of the first 500 of these impressive Cadillacs to be built, all is not lost! Contact your local Cadillac dealer to get on the official Wait List!

Me!

I've had a lot of Corvettes and had a gen 2 CTS-V MT. I've been waiting a long time for this car to come out as I love the LT4 motor and a manual transmission.

Did you sort out your order?

No. Dealer called me Friday night to tell me they wouldn't be able to spec out my order until Monday. Of course, I already knew that from this forum ;) I'll likely head up there next weekend to do it.

At this point I'm still thinking the above but it looks like I need to add the carbon fiber 1 package as well. Colors are the hard decision but I still think Wave blue and the Sky Cool Gray top tier seats.

I am hearing the configurator goes love 2/12 -that should help.

Now are we stuck paying msrp?

My dealer and cadillac.com web chat assistant (live person with typos and all) said Feb 10 as of yesterday.

Excellent. The color and seat options aren’t totally clear with the brochure.

Even the CT5-V BW order book isn't entirely clear about the high performance seat options. It indicates that the base seats (AQ9) are 18-way adjustable, are heated/ventilated, and have power lumbar adjustments and massage function. However, it's unclear if any of the high performance bucket seat options (AQJ) retain any/all of those features. I emailed my dealer about it, still waiting on a response. It would suck to lose all of that on such an expensive upgrade.

Exactly - the red stripe up the middle of the seat is kinda weird.

Let me know what you find out.

So I may have gotten the answer to my question about the high performance seats through a chat that I had with "Tom", a BW specialist on the cadillac website. He found the following in his training materials:

"Significantly differentiated interior choices, including premium interior executions featuring 18-way adjustable performance front seats with heat, ventilation, and lumbar massage."

It's slightly ambiguous since it could be referencing the standard seating option and/or the high performance seating option. Tom's interpretation was that it applied to both. I will see if my dealer can find out for sure.
