Big fan. Here’s my ‘93 MR2. It’s my around town car, the Blackwing’s more for highways. Is anyone here a fan of 90's Japanese sports cars? I'm approaching 40k miles on my Blackwing which I have been enjoying immensely, but I've have this consistent yearning for an skyline GTR since they became importable. Spending 50-60k on a 30 year old right hand drive sports car is objectively idiotic, but there is such a draw to the character of these old cars. Does anyone else have these kinds of problems? I know a lot of you guys have second weekend cars, is the investment worth it? I plan on continuing to daily drive my Blackwing until the wheels fall off.
Here is one I drove in Japan back in 2019

Don't ever sell it. My Gen 1 supercharged MR2 was the most fun car I've ever owned. A neighbor of mine bought it several years ago and its his around town car still. As fun as Miatas are - I've always though the MR2s were better in nearly every way. Yours looks great BTW.Big fan. Here’s my ‘93 MR2. It’s my around town car, the Blackwing’s more for highways.
Every now and then I think of selling it and then I drive it and I think there’s no way I’m ever selling this.

It’s faster, roomier, and more interesting than a Miata, which is the closest thing to it on the market today. It even has a trunk big enough for my hockey bag (critical test if you’re a Canuck), which I don’t think is true of the Mazda.
Agree...way better in every way over the Miata especially that model! I luv it!Don't ever sell it. My Gen 1 supercharged MR2 was the most fun car I've ever owned.
