CT5-V Manual 25 Blackwing no blindspot monitoring. Why

CT5-V Model
Seems like you give up a lot with this great super cruise feature. You lose blind side monitoring which is ridiculous. So a brand new $100K 2025 car doesn't have it, but a $30K Kia does? And almost every car sold today. Sad. You also lose the "performance' steering wheel. You still get a V Mode button, but you lose the PTM switch.

More reasons to never get rid of mine.....or buy a 2022-2024 leftover or preowned (without super cruise). Stupid GM, not that they're listening.
... and no volume control other than on the steering wheel, my pet peeve, which IMHO is also nuts on a 100k car.
You also have to like the new front end...

Tx!

Well shoot........three features I would have really liked to have (volume knob, blindspot monitoring, and surround video recorder). Not the end of the world but certainly disappointing. Still doesn't trump having a manual though. With a vehicle at this price point, many (myself for sure) have to time their entry into this kind of market responsibly. For me this is the year, and since I wanted to have one built, I am "stuck" with a '25 (5BW). With that said I still feel fortunate that mine is on the way.

Why don't we try this? Aside from the facelift and the google interface, what features does the manual '25 5BW have that the '24 does not?

please, can we keep it civil and not turn this into a political debate

I have a 23 bw. The blind spot monitor is a small light on the tiny mirrors. Ive never used them as it does a poor job of telling you that there is someone there. If they could have put the monitor inside the cabin on the door by the mount for the mirror and made it bigger, it would be more helpful. Other cars have done a better job of integrating blind spot monitoring.

I'm surprised they removed it, but the existing one was nothing special and hard to see if you weren't actually looking for it. That being said, they should have found a way to put it back. For a $100k car, that is a bit surprising, even for the limited help it provides.

Besides front fascia and new infotainment screen, I don’t think there were any gains except optional precision package and few new colors.
The PDR is enhanced in 2025. Newer version with more input channels to capture and display data.

If you track the car, the 2025 model is going to be much better because of the Precision Package and enhanced PDR. Otherwise, the 2022-24 models seems like they have more stuff that is important for regular highway driving.

Gotcha. Well not to hijack the thread, but when do you think GM will stop producing these things? Do you think there with be a '26 or '27?

I have been under the impression that they wanted more safety measures in place for all of us? Seems like removing these would do the opposite.

I saw on GM Authority site that both CT4 and CT5 will continue in 2026. I assume that includes V and BW models.
